I have messaged Aiwit regarding the subscription but have had no response as yet However Amazon who I bought it from gave me the actual sellers details to contact I messaged them and they were quick to reply saying I needed to give device details and they would look into it So we will see The Aiwit app certainly needs an update too Do most other video doorbells come with free three day video watch or are most with subscribtion TIAUpdate Received this from Aiwit today Dear customer sorry for the inconvenient of the cloud service change recently Please confirm your cloud storage service plan with your direct reseller the place you buy the device We are the cloud storage service provider However the cloud storage service plan your direct reseller bought has expired You need to subscribe to renew your cloud storage service I m still waiting for the seller to come back to me after I ve given them the device serial number plot thickens

Absolute rubbish After a few months the sound on the bell topped working The cloud is advertised as free but its not Need to get in contact with them but to see about the two way conversation that I can no longer have with the individuals at my mums door I m fuming

When this happened to me a few days ago I contacted Amazon and they put me in touch with Chunhuida who I bought a Vanbar doorbell from They asked for the device number yesterday and today the videos are back with no requests for payment Of course this could be temporary while AIWIT catch up again but worth pursuing

The device is easy to use and set up it records well and picks up sound crystal but if you want to view playback you have to pay If you are happy to pay I am not then it s great but with cost of living I think people buy it thinking they can view it isn t clear when buying It s a shame I ve seen all the negative reviews the device gets 5stars the package and payment is the let down

Suddenly decided it was a subscription device after all
Again all of a sudden a subscription required when it clearly stated on the item lifetime free icloud storage and protection I did contact the supplier in this case amazon who notified the seller and they have agreed to fix it so hopefully these charges wont be applicable I believe it was a software issue so anyone else i would urge to contact the seller I have since been contacted by them and the software has been updated so it now works again with no subscription required

I m not able to connect my doorbell
I chose it because it had no subscription and allowed you to view your videos for 3 days - after that you did have to pay but 3 days was ok for me HOWEVER after more than a year and without warning it stopped me viewing my videos and said I had to pay about 30 a year I can t afford this so the doorbell isn t much use to me now TBH the phone connection always was a bit slow often not alerting me until the delivery person had left

Aiwit Subscription enforcement
I ve been using Aiwit doorbell camera for couple of years and been relatively happy with it However over the last six months there has been an ever increasing delay from someone being at the door to receiving a notification on my mobile currently now approx 20 mins Also now when I click on the recording I am presented with a subscription requirement where previously this has not been the case Have Aiwit changes their subscription model to a must have without notifying existing users That kind of approach makes me think I should perhaps look at an alternative

I like the device it does its job I have two I have no delays the camera works good it records as I expected it to the issue is customer service Whether or not this is a scam sight idk I got my free 30day trial and I paid my subscription the issue is I paid for 1 and not the other yet is automatically took 32 65 twice from my Apple account without authorization and I had to call apple for my refund Yet I can t get answers from customer service nor do they have a contact where I can call a representative

I purchased the products over a year ago I enjoy it I like that the video stay freely for 7 days before being deleted However just recently I am unable to review anything that sets the alarm off without a page coming up suggesting that I pay for a plan and until I pick a plan I cannot view anything that might have interrupted the sensor In other words if somebody was trying to get in my house I wouldn t be able to view the video Unless I pick the plan I should not have to pay for a service I feel like I do not need at the time If and when someone did try to break in then maybe then I might pick a plan Why offer the 7 days for free but then interrupt me by trying to push me on to buy a 6-month-old 1-year plan for 30 What may seems cheap to your pockets is not cheap to others I ve already purchased your product which you already made money I ve even referred a few family members However if this is going to be an ongo issue then I think I should get another camera doorbell because I should not be forced to pay for something that I don t need The free 7 days is good enough for me I do not need a 6-month plan or a year plan and the sad part is it only keeps the recording for 30 days a little bit better but really not that great If I m a subscribe to something for 6 months or a whole year The recording holding time should be stored for at least 3 months It s a very good product but now I m questioning the company s values of trying to force me to pick a plan that I do not want So I guess I ll be on the market looking for another doorbell camera without the hassle of trying to get extra money out of me This is already a price gouging world
