Won t sort out problems you re on your own
Ordered cooker for next day delivery got a call saying it wasn t in stock offered alternative same cooker different branding was happy to do this but there was a 6 day delay for delivery On the delivery day I had paid for delivery and collection of my old gas cooker I had my gas cooker disconnected and put out side a requirement for collection I also had to remove a breakfast bar to make sure there was clear access Cooker didn t turn up later got an email from the courier saying they hadn t been able to deliver and a new delivery date 6 days in the future On calling appliance shop and explaining I would be left without cooking facilities they were apologetic but not prepared to help saying it was down to the courier 6 days later the courier did deliver the new cooker but said they couldn t take the old cooker as it wasn t packaged I did point out that it was 25 years old so I didn t have the packaging but if they really wanted it packaged I would put it in the packaging from the new cooker At which point they told me that they couldn t take it because there was not enough room in the van they then left I called applianceshop and they contacted the courier and said that the courier couldn t give them a date for when they could collect and then made out they were being really generous by refunding the 24 I paid for the removal of the old cooker I pointed out to them as they hadn t supplied the service I paid for it wasn t being generous but it was leaving me to sort out the situation as they couldn t be bothered and that maybe it would be better for them to arrange someone reliable to remove my cooker obviously that didn t happen I have learnt two things from this experience one not to use applianceshop again also not to use anyone else who uses arrowxl as their courier
