Booked based on a competitive rental rate This is my first time having used others before so we ll see when I collect my card in 3 months However I was disappointed to get a quote by email and the book now button didn t work and gave me a much higher price I rang and understood that the quote is only good for one hour I didn t spot that so - please make it clearer

Check senior drivers fee

The website provides plenty of information and rental options and is easy to navigate My only negative would be that senior drivers fees are not very clear and are found in the TandC s of the individual rental company so if you do not read them properly you may be faced with a daily charge of 8 euros Can I suggest that when the age box is unticked and the customer needs to enter their age manually then a message pops up telling you to check TandC s of each individual company before you decide on who to use

Everything went well

Everything went well easy site to work through with out any real problems only thing on the Auto Europe s paperwork I have chosen the Gold rate which shows a tank full of fuel but on the Amalo paperwork it seems to still show that I should return the car with a full tank hopefully this will work out OK but

Easy to use website and quick booking process

The website was easy to navigate and find out any additional charges car seats sat nav etc We were pleased at how competitive the prices seemed compared to other sites and like the cancellation policy Definitely worth checking out both the UK and other country websites too though as it seems prices vary widely based on whichever one you are on so worth shopping carefully and doing the maths

Competitive price

Competitive price much better than direct with companies based at the airport Would have given a 5 star rating but could not suss out how to add a second driver on line will have to make a call

Booked car in Halifax Canada

We had heard that booking cars in Canada was difficult at the moment due to lack of vehicles but successfully booked with a reputable brand Avis at a competitive price Using Autio Europe we were able to compare both airport and city pick up location prices and choose the one that best suited us In fact the lowest price offered was Avis and this included an upgrade of car with 2 drivers both aged over 70 but under 80 with full insurance Have been using Auto Europe for over 10 years so far everything has worked well

Closed desks for pickup hire times won t work

AutoEurope are great - rented for maybe 10 years using this interface Bit panicked this time as the quote wouldn t go through but realised it was because the hire car desk we d chosen would be closed when we arrived Maybe an improvement to the search engine to only pick the companies who will actually be open when you arrive Great service otherwise

Possible improvement

It would be better if the search profile had a place for other drivers as this would give people a better idea of the overall cost As it stands you basically have to book the car to find out the extra costs However I did need to ring through to check on upper age limits for drivers and this was dealt with competently and I hope accurately

Expensive and hidden charges

We arrvied late due to problem with our flight and assumed there would be someone from Auto Europe to meet us no such thing we had to ask aiport staff once outside the airport at location there was no one or any signs eventually managed to find out after a few phone calls we were looking for a red 8 seater mpv it arrived after 20 minutes only to be told there were another 20 30 people and he would only take the drivers and not passenger so we had to take Uber to their place At car rental Klass Wagon we waited another 45 minutes the people who served us were all very pleasant all in all not a bad experience One advise better take their offer of full cover better have peace of mind as they drive different to us in the UK

Car hire - Paphos Cyprus

Booking the car hire was very easy and the various options regarding car size insurance etc were clearly explained One issue was that when I arrived at the hire desk I found that the fuel policy was full to empty which is contrary to the information provided by Auto Europe so it would probably be worth checking directly with the hire company in this case Europcar
