A week before our holiday to Cyprus my
A week before our holiday to Cyprus my mother who had been suffering from dementia for a year suddenly started to deteriorate 34 hours before departure it became obvious she was not going to live much longer and we had to cancel our flights accommodation and car hire The car hire was refundable and the AXA insurance for the car hire was fully refunded I spoke to AXA and it was suggested we make a claim online Sadly as expected my mother died three days later We submitted a claim posting the documents required to AXA the received an automated acknowledgment immediately A week later I spoke to an AXA claims handler on the phone who asked questions and he requested a further document confirming the original cost of the flights as I had claimed the tax for the flights at the time of cancelling and I had sent AXA the Thomas Cook cancellation document effectively reducing the cost of my claim Once they received the original flight booking document I received another call confirming the claim for the flights and the accommodation would be settled and the money would be paid into my account Excellent service Thank you AXA

My experience was good
I see a lot of bad reviews here but can only offer my own experience and have to judge them on thatI have used AXA damage refund insurance for hire car s twice Obviously you hope you dont have to use insurance but - one of those occasions - I foolishly hired a car through Green Motion - probably the worst car hire company in the world I am surprised that AXA still insures someone when they know they are using Green Motion but that s getting off the point Green Motion told me I had a scratch on the hire car after I handed it back total scam in my opinion but anyway I claimed the money back from my AXA insurancethe claim went through quickly apart from one hiccup - my fault as i missed one vital document within about a week I had the money back that Green Motion car hire had in my opinion scammed off of me quick easy efficient and saved me s

Was I just lucky
I had a medical condition that prevented me my husband and father from going on vacation I filed a claim with the requested paperwork and it was paid within the 4 week time frame without any hassle

Got axa insurance through Halifax bank claimed for flights and accomadation for portugal when they got added to the no advise to travel it was dealt with very well and will look into other policy s with axa it was dealt with very quickly

Very happy with the service I received
I broke my ankle in Barbados at the beginning of July and had to have an operation My insurance was with Axa booked through Tesco and from the first phone call to them they were amazing I spoke with numerous different people and couldn t have wished for better service My upgrade flight home and then a domestic flight and all the arrangements had been made for me to be met with a wheelchair at Heathrow and taken to the lounge to await domestic flight and then escorted to the plane It really was excellent service Some of the expenses we had to pay at the time and I have today received the settlement in my account A big thank you Axa

Absolutely superb again
Every time I ve made a claim with this company it s been dealt with superbly no issues at all paid on two C 19 claims this year a cancelled holiday for illness a few ago and the sickness whilst away 7 years ago comes as part of my bank package Would have no hesitation in recommend them to anybody

Avoid at all costs Submitted a claim for cancelled holiday on 23august My husband had Covid and a high fever To date I ve been fobbed off with so many dates to resolve the issue which never happened They keep saying I have to wait 5to 10 days and so on since august Phoned them this morning and now my claim has to be reviewed again They have all the documents from my doctor etc they just don t want to pay out What about all these people with bad experiences get in touch with rip off Britain and get them on the television I am livid they are a scam company will have to get in touch with the financial ombudsman and a solicitor I am so angry with the way I have been treated by this outfit
