We were switched to digital in July

We were switched to digital in July this year Since then we have no problems making calls but are constantly getting missed call messages even when we were sitting right next to the phone What s more we found none of our extensions working anymore something BT don t warn you about in advance of the switch

Absolutely shockingly bad

Absolutely shockingly bad My 80 year old mother in law and her husband had digital voice foisted upon them early Feb 2024 it is now almost April 2024 and the service has been abysmal They cannot receive any incoming calls and despite numerous calls to BT about this no solution has been found They have also had their account set up as a business account She is 80 partially sighted with mobility issues he is 85 Italian and can barely read or write English they live in a residential street - hardly likely to be running a business They have both missed hospital telephone appointments as a result of this It has caused them both so much stress and worry

We had BT digital installed 6 weeks ago and it has been a disaster with two main recurrent problems - not functioning at all or incoming calls going straight to answer phone voice mail BT staff are friendly and try to helpful but the system does not work Avoid it for the time being

Hopeless system and service

Our WiFi and phone line have repeated gone on and of at almost the same time each day This lasts often hours Contacting BT is hopeless The website isn t the easiest to navigate especially on a mobile phone if the Internet is down Promises to compensate hasn t happened promised return phones calls don t happen and promised mini hub didn t appear

BT Digital Voice is rubbish

I was forced to change to digital voice 1st problem was it went straight to voicemail whenever someone called That has stopped 2nd problem was the handset fades out I could hear people but no one could hear me I had a fairly old handset so I bought a brand new one no difference just carry s on fading out from time to time Useless really I will be dropping the landline next time around BT are totally stupid they are like Turkeys voting for Christmas I moved my mobile from them the landline will be next It s getting easier to leave

I wish there were -rating available to give The worst experience ever someone can imagine I signed the contract for BT cloud voice for my business The manger promised it shall all be installed in a week time Afterwords no response fromBT I am calling and asking what is happening how long it is going to take while BT transfers me from one department to another After wasting well over a month I decided to cancel the contract and go with some other provider where it took only 5 minutes to buy and setup everything Which BT couldn t even deliver in over a month time After a month of cancellation Bt delivered the handset to my business And now asking for 500 cancellation fee Absolutely ridiculous I will never ever use BT or recommend it to anyone

Digital Voice equals rubbish

The phone gives the engaged tone continually it can be fixed by rebooting the adapter The problem is that I have no idea when the phone isn t working so it could be in a non functional state for days or even weeks without me knowing so I may have missed important calls Very poor system

DIGITAL VOICE NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE We took on digital voice in July 2023

We took on digital voice in July 2023 since then we have had nothing but trouble We have 5 phones and every one of them will go to synchronising data either when going to make a call or receive a call We have had an engineer iut from Qube who said there was nothing he could do We have spent hours talking to BT Digital Voice isn t fit for purpose and shoukd be scrapped BT don t care because in the near future we have been told they are giving all residential customers to EE and BT will only take on business communications Will EE do any better Watch this space

BT Digital Voice puts vulnerable customers at risk

The BT Digital Voice service has placed vulnerable customers at risk When a frail person makes a voice activated call using Alexa the incoming call shows on the recipient s phone as being from range of constantly changing foreign countries and a range of constantly changing unrecognised numbers not the name or number of the person making the call Prior to Digital Voice being installed that was never an issue The incoming calls appear to be scam calls and are therefore rejected That means that people using voice activated calls via Alexa cannot make essential emergency phone calls This is a very serious safeguarding and duty of care issue

New digital voice landline doesn t work at all

Persuaded to switch my landline from Plusnet to BT digital voice by BT staff Equipment all set up ready for switchover Hub setup and working but phone unable to make or receive calls due to BT not configuring landline Old phone line switched off so now unable to make or receive any calls Reported to BT and told they will investigate fault in a weeks time I have an elderly mother I need to stay in touch with but they didn t care less Tried to converse with complaints dept about issues but spent 2 hours on a web chat with more people who are incapable of actually doing anything to assist It s now been 5 days without a phone which is totally unacceptable They don t need to send an engineer out to dig up the road they just need to press a button on their computer to activate my phone Unbelievable Don t switch to digital voice it will stress you out
