Poor service

I was put onto BT Digital without my knowledge I had contacted BT to renew my broadband contract only but the following day I received an email telling me that I had now been switched to BT Digital I had no knowledge that this was happening I phoned and complained and received a refund of 9 99 the cost of the new equipment However the new service is definitely not as good as the old copper lines which other reviewers have mentioned During all my phone calls there is clicking and the people on the other end of the line say they can here an echoing of their own voice BT need to get all these problems sorted paying for a poor service is deplorable

It s a disaster in every way Useless design tiny base easily knocked off Functions are a total mystery and completely non instinctive A huge RETROGRADE step Tut tut BT really Do not let this little techno-monster in your house

Switched to BT from EE and they put us

Switched to BT from EE and they put us on Digital Voice This service has been appalling for a month now and BT unable to fix it and keep closing my complaints Outgoing calls are fine incoming calls intermittent out of 10 calls only 1 or 2 go through Can t rely on this service My elderly Mother lives with us and need to have a phone line I can call her on when I m away from home

Appalling customer service from BT

In Dec 2023 I contracted with bt for fullfibre 100 and digital voice mandatory loss of land line The old connection was cut on the 8th feb 2024 since when we have had poor broadband connection less than 50mbps and no functioning digital voice service The activation date for the digital voice keeps being deferred from the 8th feb to 14 feb to 4 th march to 13th march to 2nd Apr etc Throughout this time I have used online and telephone help to no avail I have eventually written to BT with a formal complaint I would advise to avoid taking out any contract with BT for broadband and Digital Voice at this present time as their service seems to be in meltdown

DIGITAL PHONE LINE AND BRAODBAND RUBBISH

I HAVE NOT HAD ONE DAY SINCE INSTALATION OF THE SYSTEM WORKING FULLY BROADBAND INTERMITTENT AT BEST WHICH MEANS NO PHONE LINE WHICH MEANS NO CUSTOMERS HAVE ASKED FOR MY OLD SYSTEM TO BE RE INSTALLED STILL WAITING I AM SICK OF PHONING UP AND WASTING MY VALUBLE TIME TRYING TO HAVE IT RECTIFIED

Nightmare

Since being switched over my elderly parents have been left with a very intermittent service Some days they cannot receive calls at all and for the last few days they cannot make calls out They also get crossover calls where they can hear other people on the line Call centre staff don t seem to know how to help and they have been told they will investigate and get back to them by the end of the week

62 days without service BT s Customer Service lie about the capability of the service and timelines to install Broadband and Digital Voice - and other related matters The technical Help seems to consist of blaming the Customer and telling you time and time again to re-register your DV phone TERRIBLE

Absolutely appalling service

Absolutely appalling service Took out new contract 21 March and advised this would be activated on 26 March which was the day before engineer visit to set up so called Digital Voice new TV box and check Broadband Problem BT forgot to activate Engineer set up new TV box and left landline connected to wall socket He left and Broadband TV and landline all working On 4 April BT contacted to see why new contract not activated Overnight 4 5 April BT activated new contract and Landline stopped working A week later still no Landline but Broadband and TV working BT now investigating Should be NO stars for appalling service It seems it s all to do with Digital Voice Update 20 April Landline still not workingin spite of hours spent on phone to BT

Sub-standard service

I was switched over to digital voice last September when my contract was coming to an end There were problems right from the start Some of the problems were resolved but the quality of the line is appalling During my landline calls there is persistent clicking which sounds as though I am going to be disconnected I kept hoping the quality of the line would improve but this has not happened It is disgusting that they continue to increase their prices for a very sub-standard service Wake Up BT and get all these problems fixed for your paying customers

It has got worse

I ve reviewed this before but things have got even worse My digital voice handset never works now it tries to sync all the time This is despite me positioning it so it has an uninterrupted sight of the hub about 6 feet away renewing batteries and so on I now can t use my phone at all If someone rings me I can sometimes if I m lucky retrieve the caller s number and can go to a neighbour to ring them back I can t do any banking purchasing transactions because I can t pick up confirmatory phone calls I feel insecure in my own home because I have no way of phoning anyone if I m in trouble RESIST all BT s bullying tactics to get you to accept the absolutely dreadful Digital Voice system
