Okay honestly I was scared of using

Okay honestly I was scared of using them because of all the bad reviews But my experience was okay - They don t tell you about domestic shipping on their website so the domestic fees were a bit of a surprise but thankfully not too much- I got no insurance plan for my items and no protective packaging they still all arrived safe all my items were flat items like cards acrylic stands etc They were wrapped in bubble wrap foam what I assume was the original packing and put into separate bags the length and width of the box - Since they don t show mercari listings right away it s hard to get the good deals before they sell out- shipping was a bit more than I thought thakfully there was a 5000 yen coupon for international shippingI think my package was fine because I didn t buy any rare fragile expensive items But in the future I would only use Buyee if there is an item that I can only buy on their site this was the case this time because they charge more fees compared to other proxies

Not as bad as people think

Been using Buyee for about 6 years they can be trusted but you really do need to read how it works and calculate costs If you re using yahoo jp to buy be aware that you will pay domestic shipping Buyee base service fee can remove item inspection fee and lastly international shipping If you use Mercari 90 of items include domestic shipping so it s just the service fee and international shipping The trick is to load up a box as close to 30kg as you can get then apply for consolidation of packages along with added parcel protection The thing they don t mention for some reason is they will strip the shipping boxes and double wrap everything if you pay for added protection This drops the weight by 1kg-2kg You then ship by sea not air It works out at something reasonable like 4 per kg you just need to wait a lot longer for your shipment Dropped a star as their support team are truly awkward to deal with it s like 1 message per day due to time difference and you re unlikely receive any productive assistance Just copy paste responses referring to FAQ if you re lucky With that said I ve shipped over 50x25kg boxes and they ve always arrived and contained everything I ve bought every time

Wasn t too bad

Seeing so many bad reviews i was skeptical at first but i tried using buyee anyway Bought something from zozotown Small item less than 500g Buyee s fee reflected before making payment There s a separate fee for insurance or inspection Item was purchased by them relatively fast I was afraid shipping fee might be ridiculously high but it was what i expected Domestic shipping fee wasn t very high either One mistake i made was not reading carefully and chose EMS instead of Buyee Air delivery DHL Fedex I thought i was going to wait weeks before i see my item Surprisingly it only took about 4-5 working days to arrive UK via EMS My experience was ok with Buyee Maybe because it was a new item wasn t heavy and no consolidation etc so the process was smooth The only downside was the customer service - very robotic answers to my queries If you re buying a new item it isnt too heavy then Buyee is still ok Otherwise opt for a more reliable transparent proxy

First time I ve ordered anything from Japan

First order using buyee very unsure about ordering through buyee but I read through the first time buying guide and to Searching for what I wanted using the search all translated to English on Yahoo shopping tab Found a store that had what I wanted at a price I was happy to pay Ordered the goods received an email stating that buyee had successfully purchased the goods and would be shipped to the warehouse 3 days later it arrived and was required to choose a shipping option I chose buyee air Mail which was I felt was value for money to wait time at around 8 this where buyee needs a bit more transparency it stated it would take 3 days It took around two weeks to arrive No problem with the customs paperwork I would use buyee again thank you for a pleasant experience

cannot recommend enough

I can t recommend this company enough while their prices are steep they at least deliver a service well enough My only downers besides the price would be the translation sometimes the google translate can get a bit messy especially when trying to search for something in japanese and then have it auto-translate in the search results It d also be nice if the counter for how long an item s been there would count down too in my experience packages just seem to stay at 30 days and a good count would really help let me know when it s getting close to ship a package out But if you need a proxy from japan buyee is the best for thatedit The reply seems to insinuate that when I type things in english I m bothered I don t get results No I use the english translation for menu items and whatnot but my search terms are purely japanese and the autoform fill for potential search results of previous searches will often autotranslate those search terms into english which is undesirable since I m shopping from japan and it s unlikely the titles of the things I m searching for contains english It s an issue of the programming of the site just to clarify

Pretty Good Experience Overall

I have purchased through Buyee many times Some of their fees are a little more than some competitors but they are cheaper than others as well Their site integrates easily with Yahoo Auction Mercari and other sites They have promos going on pretty often and overall I like the site I like their layout and ease of use more than some other similar sites but they also aren t perfect but would still recommend to most people

Not perfect 100 of the time but a generally good and helpful Japanese proxy site

A lot of these reviews are from people that simply didn t do any basic research before using Buyee I have used Buyee since 2017 and in total have spent hundreds of s on their site Not every transaction goes 100 smoothly particularly when using Mercari as some sellers just choose to never ship your item but each time this has happened Buyee have been very helpful and immediately refunded the entire cost of those items including their service fees Are they perfect No But they certainly aren t scammers People should read the terms and conditions more carefully before using a proxy service if they don t really understand what that means

Good but not great

Been using Buyee services since 2016 Generally find them to be really sufficient in what they do I ve had 1 or 2 problems in the past but these were resolved eventually They re also quite quick with getting orders out and to the door like really quick There s only 2 things which fall short with Buyee and that s customer support and additional services Combining orders can cost double then having orders shipped separately Also coupons and discounts work in the worse way imaginable to the point they re just not worth the hassle

Buyee is good but shipping is expensive

Buyee is a good company it isn t a scam you actually get the items But the shipping fee is the expensive part and you usually need to be able to afford it within 30 days I have never really had major issues but you need patience I ve been using them for around a year or two now and have never been scammed I always get a refund if my item cannot be shipped to me for whatever reason

Bought my first 2 things from Buyee very happy so far Delivery went fast Unlucky for me the item that i bought was very dirty and damaged waiting for Buyee hopefully they will help me with a refund because the item cost me alot of money Lets see if they have a good service hopes up
