Amazing service beautiful coffin I bought the cardboard one with woodgrain and chargeboard for crem had it delivered straight to mortuary rather than house everything went so smoothly and the guys even had me giggling in possibly the darkest days ever would definitely use again praying not for a very long time though

I came across this site by accident on one of the sleepless nights after our son died and will be forever grateful that I did On the website I found a beautiful woven grass coffin and then put together a funeral plan Steve then sent this to all the funeral directors in our area so they could contact us with competitive quotes The responce in general was poor as it seems most funeral directors are not prepared to be competitive in their pricing and sadly rely on people s grief to ensure they pay over the odds However we were extremely lucky as we were contacted by a lovely independent funeral director Clive Harries Funeral Directors who helped us put together a funeral we could afford and which was appropriate to our sons age and our wish for intimate simplicity I realise this approach may not be for everyone My own family were dubious and tried to steer me towards the traditional route But for me it felt right and it gave me some comfort to know that after bringing my son into the world with help we were able to plan a very personal farewell I have no regrets The service we received from comparethecoffin com was nothing short of excellent Steve offered advice kept in touch and kept us updated The coffin we bought was half the price compared to buying directly from a funeral directors and we didn t have any issues around it being delivered to our funeral directors In addition to this without our plan being sent out it s doubtful we would have found Clive Harris and he was so honest and helpful which was what we needed
