I had wanted to explore the possibility of CHC funding for my father but found it hard to understand the process and wanted support from a professional firm I approached FarleyDwek and the service was excellent I spoke to Andrew Farley solicitor initially and then with other members of the wider team including Diane and later Abbey and Alex We were lead through what can be a difficult process particularly for people unused to the system and it gave me confidence to have them in my corner The result was what we had been hoping for They clearly have a specific expertise in this area and I m very glad that I sought their advice

All the staff we encountered at Farley Dwek were professional and helpful The solicitor who handled our case gave us clear guidelines and regular updates She was kind as well as knowledgeable about the complex procedure which I found particularly reassuring Our case took about eighteen months to resolve but we always felt we were in capable hands

Invaluable

I enlisted Farley Dwek s help to provide an advocate at the CHC assessment for my mother s complex dementia care Although CHC refused funding the advocacy was very helpful opening my eyes to the challenges of the process and how it works I would have given up at this stage but Farley Dwek not satisfied that we had been given a fair hearing looked into the case in more depth and then offered to appeal on a no win no fee basis having resolved that CHC had made a fundamental error in their assessment The appeal thankfully ended with CHC granting us funding The whole FD team were great they gave clear honest advice as to what I could expect and pursued our case doggedly from start to finish I can say categorically we would not have succeeded without Farley Dwek s involvement I m grateful in particular to Debbie Payton - who put the appeal case documents together - and to Jonathan Dwek who saw through the final hurdle of actually getting hold of the funds
