Removing quality content shortly after release
HBO max are happy to take your money to develop new series but also quick to remove the same quality series from their platform and put them on other platforms As a customer you are left without being able to watch the HBO made series you subscribed to watch This practice is not only extremely bad customer care it is borderline against consumer law protection legislation

No different than other streaming services
The sound quality is awful and I always have to adjust my 4k TV to even see the 4k movies on max the 4k movies are so dark that you really can t tell what s going on All Max movies and series except a few are old and out dated not to mention that Cinemax Starz Showtime MGM AMC SyFy Paramount FX and Prime all play the same thing they all just rotate movies every few months I m tired of seeing the exact same movies over the past 3 years There are thousands and thousands of movies out there why play the same ones over and over for 3 years

Compromised account but they could care less
Someone named Troy is accessing my account with his Roku tv Even after I changed my email twice password 5 times and logged out of all devices every time Customer service tells me to wash rinse repeat Why not have 2 step authentication Absolute joke that someone is using my main account and I can t do anything about it

This is the absolute worst streaming app in history first how is not available in CANADA Second it has way too many technical issues - either you cannot get into the app or it constantly kicks you off when you try to watch shows Get it together Warner Media

The app does not work on any of my
The app does not work on any of my devices I contacted customer support who was not able to resolve the issue and said he would move it up the chain and I should be receiving an email about it which is fine However after 8 days and another call into customer support I still have not received said email and am still unable to use the app on roku

Absolutely garbage
Absolutely garbage as the review below states this app does nothing but freeze up and say something went wrong its literally a joke to even call it a streaming service you spend more time restarting and trying to find your place then you do actually getting to enjoy watching anything Perfect example of why all these greedy companies starting streaming services is stupid hbomax is absolutely worthless i wouldn t suggest anyone openly start paying for this its so bad I d say even if they start free trials for people don t waste your time it s just gonna make you mad

Disgracefully bad system
Just an awful service Constant buffering problems to the point where the program often won t run at all And it s not my system as all other streaming services are fine Also have frequent problems with audio and video being out of sync HBO s system is totally inadequate to provide decent service

Garbage Service Garbage Content
The streaming is atrocious The picture will CONSTANTLY pixelate becoming so blurry that I can hardly even see what s what on my tv half the time This has been a problem for many many people for many many years It would be naive of anyone to assume that the powers that be at HBO aren t aware of this issue given the amount of people that have and still continue to complain about it They know yet do nothing about it and still charge a ridiculous monthly fee of almost 20 dollars for crap quality and crap content

App never works and always crashes and freezes The UI is so bad compared to Netflix s app I had to call customer support several times before being able to login even though I had my subscription Takes forever to load and movies never display as high quality they always look pixelated It always randomly stops streaming and tells me that i have no connection

Absolutely awful
Absolutely awful Unprofessional disjointed and couldn t resolve anything after speaking to four people over chat and taking over an hour of my time None of them read the correspondence so I had to repeat myself over and over again At the end of all of that I still can t access Max and haven t been able to for the past few weeks Unbelievable for the most expensive subscription service Not worth the hassle
