They do not honor their word
Their current commercial states no hidden charges NOT TRUE I have over a 1200 lab work bill which is now in collections I have made multiple attempts and spoke with Oscar reps with absolutely no success I m very disappointed Especially because I m very protective of my credit and I have a high score Never been late on anything They will probably get on here and reply with a sorry and still leave me with the bill Sorry doesn t pay bills If they pay it I return on here and post it but I doubt they will I m stuck with a bill

I had Oscar for 3 months
I had Oscar for 3 months They are worthless They claimed a provider was in-network on their site when that provider was not They are currently resolving this and have been for months but it increasingly looks like I ll be on the hook for the entire bill amount Second and more egregiously they claimed that I did not make payment for overdue balances for the last month even though I paid all of my three premiums For this reason they rejected a claim they should have covered during my last month of coverage for which I paid all of my premiums It looks like we ll be on the hook for about 2000 to cover payments that Oscar was supposed to

So I had to get a medically necessary
So I had to get a medically necessary foot surgery I called in and found a doc in network and after they went back and forth they cleared me for care and I got my foot fixed Then 2 months later they said the surgery was elective and didn t add the 5 000 I spent to my deductible and out of pocket saying it wasn t a necessary procedure My foot surgeon was dumbfounded and said in his 20 something years of being a doctor he had never heard of a company taking back a medical clearance after a surgery He wrote a letter of medical necessity and they ended up covering it Then 6 months late I started getting copays from doctors after having reached my deductible and they said my surgery wasn t covered because it was elective and so now I m going through the same situation all over again Absolutely outraged I m sure eventually sometime in 3 years they will decide it s necessary but geez save your time and go for a different company

Misleading Cruel practices
I purchased an insurance plan with Oscar that listed a price of 0 for Telehealth visits which I was planning to use for psychology counseling I inferred that such services would fall in the Telehealth category since there is no need whatsoever to see a psychologist in person especially under a pandemic Alas the company forces you to see the counselor in person and charges 125 per hour This under a pandemic where millions of people need counseling and protection agains a lethal virus I contacted the company in this regard to no avail

This company is very much a SCAM
This company is very much a SCAM I received a recent claim on my account for a telephone care service After a couple of months they say It looks like you received care from a provider outside the Oscar network so the care you received with them isn t covered by your plan Now I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THIS I used Oscar s own platform to connect with the telecare service It was OSCAR who matched me with the physician How come the doctor they matched me with on their platform is out of their network OSCAR SERIOUSLY FAILED THEY SHOULD PAY FOR THIS

Listen just don t bother really
Listen just don t bother really with these people they will not cover anything I mean nothing no medications no labs nothing they will also charge your account multiple times for the monthly premium leaving your account overdrafted and they will not help vou resolve any problems you may have they never have an answers to anv guestions whatsoever I am honestly flabbergasted they still a running company terrible services being barely provided terrible customer service I mean I am just in shocked I rather have no insurance than to have Oscar insurance Asking for itemized bill from all my providers from today on

We had them for about eight weeks I won t bore you with the details but this is the most unorganized dumbly run venture I ve ever dealt with It takes them forever to answer simple questions one person tells you this another that Needless to say we took our business elsewhere

This is the absolutely Worst healthcare
This is the absolutely Worst healthcare insurance you can have First thing is i had them for a whole year and i have started getting bills up to 8 000 saying i owe them yet it says oscar has paid ZERO of their part No wonder i was only able to go to physical therapy at brooks rehabilitation center for only 2 weeks As i remembered being told by them they no longer take Oscar since they haven t paid them in over 8 months But it gets even better Oscar fraudulently charged my credit card 3 times when i no longer had them anymore I even contacted them and they acted like it wasnt them it was my credit card company Needless to say they had to block Oscar STAY AWAY

My experience with an insurance company
My experience with an insurance company couldn t be worse I never had insurance with such vague EOB and unreasonable way to proceed claims I have claims as old as early March to that their patient amounts keep changing and processing again again and keep changing Months of follow up with Oscar had no result I even put a review for Oscar before and here is the Oscar comment on my review our team would like to learn more about what may have occurred Please check your inbox for a followup message Yet they never contacted me and all my follow ups had absolutely no results up to this date I have an stressful risky pregnancy and Oscar made everything more difficult by adding lots of stress to the medical process Very very disappointing insurance
