Absolutely abysmal
Absolutely abysmal I rang about a villa they had in Spain to double check availability I was told it was definitely available so I paid 3750 less than 1 hour later I was informed by email that it wasn t available 10 days later and still no refund Customer service is less than useless We needed to book another villa but couldn t because they had our money They rang and offered a suitable equivalent it was 11 bedrooms and cost 16 500 Morons I will 100 definitely not use these clowns again They have absolutely no clue if a property is booked or not they just take your money and hope for the best If you have limited time and limited funds STEER CLEAR

Holiday Lettings virus profiteering
I booked a holiday through this company for four people two in their seventies and two in their sixties for April but had to cancel due to the governments advise not to travel unless absolutely necessary and paid in full 541 59 They refunded 236 50 as it was their policy which could not be changed The cottage owner was in full agreement to a refund in full but to no avail Sad when there is so much goodwill around at the moment that some companies have such a disagreeable attitude Have anyone else had cancellation issues with them

I went online and put my dates in A price came up and I booked the property and left a deposit with Holiday Lettings Then I get email back saying the price I was quoted online was incorrect and the price is almost twice as much When I cancel I m then told that I have to follow up with Trip Advisor for my refund A colossal waste of time and shockingly bad system that allows such fundamental errors if it was an error and not a play to rip off custoners to occur and then places burden on customer to get back Holiday Lettings - Customer Disservice

Owner has not accepted after my booking the accommodation through Holiday Lettings I fed up with my follow up to get my refund amount 448 50 But no response from holiday lettings There is No contact number provided to communicate with Holiday lettings As per their cancellation policy I suppose to get my refund within 24 hrs No update even after 12 days regarding my refund

Badly Misrepresented
The apartment we had booked was grossly misrepresented and was so awful we had to move out We were told that our payment was protected but when we tried to claim they said because we had stayed in the apartment for 1 night we couldn t claim If we had known this we would have booked the 2nd apartment through airbnb

Wish I d read these reviews before booking with Holiday Lettings Property was great a bit under equipped re wine glasses etc but nothing we couldn t manage around However Holiday Lettings itself we realised we d been charged a booking fee of 14 5 There was no mention of this in the T C no transparency in the invoice or in the agreement I had with the owner on the price Then when I tried to complain I got the most unhelpful rude stubborn individuals in a call centre Took me an hour to get absolutely nowhere In my view there are more honest and helpful booking sites out there Avoid this lot

It should be minus 1 star Do not use them They are more interested in their commission than helping frustrated holiday makers Even given photographic evidence they take the side of the owner and carry on renting out dubious properties to unsuspecting holiday makers who do not have a chance in getting some money back when things turn sour

AVOID - Fraudulent hosts and poor protection for customers
Part of TripAdvisor yet promote fraudulent activity Part of a group booking where the host told us the property was no longer available due to flood damage at very short notice holidaylettings and Travelnest have failed to refund us despite screenshots of the conversation with the host Olu where it is clearly stated we should get a full refund and the property is not available Shocking standards which will be reported

Avoid this company at all costs unless you are prepared to have your holiday plans left in tatters Had a booking fully paid and confirmed so booked and paid for flights car hire trips etc then nearer the date the owner changed his mind and decided to take the property off the rental market Hmmmm As if the owner wouldn t be tied into a contract with financial penalties if this situation arose So at this late stage we are struggling to find somewhere suitable to stay this near impossible fact is made worse by the fact that Holiday Lettings are lying to us about the return of our money Having to go to the bank to get our money back Their social media pages havent posted for a couple of years so that tells you something too KEEP AWAY
