As stressful as the process of buying a property can be it isn t helped by having solicitors who you cannot trust My experience only got more difficult the longer the process went on and I was reluctant to raise these issues in the worry that my purchase would be put to the bottom of the priority list and just wanted to work through the issues so that I didn t have to talk to JS Law Paying for a service I expected professionalism and courteous solicitors both of which I found lacking I would actively dissuade people from using them

Very weak in parts

Very weak in parts We really had to chase for answers to our queries and when monies were due to us they sent over 68 000 through standard first class not tracked or insured post stating that a bank transfer was an optional service and would cost us 40 Will not be using them again

Lack of communication

I was very disappointed with JS Law right from the start and almost changed solicitors as there was very little response for the first 3 months I called them many times but nobody ever picked up so I left messages asking them to return my call but nobody ever called me back I also wrote them many emails and only received 1 or 2 responses but they did not answer all my questions Also the eWay system was down for almost 2 months so there was no way for me to track the progress It was only until the last month that things started to pick up and the solicitor was finally responding to my emails in a timely manner Overall it was not a great experience and was very stressful during the first 3 months

Extremely Frustrating

Communication is extremely poor The J S Law team we worked with Gurjit managed this team delayed our house exchange by weeks and almost resulted in our buyer pulling out After waiting for weeks for the team to check our paperwork they infact missed out on areas that we then had to sort on the day of exchange They didn t respond to multiple emails and calls Overall an extremely frustrating and stressful experience they just did not care Horrendous customer service

Passive lazy and poor customer service

Our contacts at JS Law have been completely passive and the service has been poor It is always us doing the chasing and we have discovered emails from the buyer s solicitors that have not been acted upon after two months Also without further investigation on our part we would have most likely missed out on additional funds due to us from management agents which JS Law have been aware of without notifying us the vendor

YOU LL be lucky if it works for u or regret it entirely

I went through a comparison site but it s not their fault Communication is near impossible from EVERY angle and then non existent Instructed over 6wks ago and haven t received even 1 phone call from them Not 1 She ll call you back I was told I would have vibhuti as my Conveyancer but to this day haven t spoken to the same person twice let alone vibhuti even once INFURIATING UNPROFESSIONAL company at one of the most stressful times of my life first time buying

Poor Communication

Up until the cyber attack I think things were ticking along but since then the level of communication I have received has been poor I had been calling up asking for updates and kept being told my case handler should have got back to me 2 weeks ago and that it would get escalated to the manager and someone would call me back It took a further 2 days of calling before anybody contacted me and gave me an update Since then I ve been calling the firm as I need to let them know about updates on my sale but nobody has been answering the phone I have left voicemail as well but nobody has called me back

Very poor communication

The purchase of our home would have been a lot less stressful if the two conveyancers we had throughout the process were better with communication Ignored emails and did not call back when we had concerns We had to send the same documents more than once and were required to chase and chase so that progress could happen However we liked using Eway to organise and see documents for the purchase of our property If you would like things completed in a timely manner and need reassurance like we did I would not recommend

The potential is there

The overall experience wasn t the best with JS LAW We had really bad communication for most of the process purchase figures were miscommunicated avoidable delays kept cropping up and it made the whole process of buying and selling not very enjoyable The only silver lining was when we changed consultants to a man called Nick He quickly took hold of our files got things in order constantly updated us and pushed the buying and selling through

Tragic excuse for a legal practice

Very tragic excuse for a legal practice Completely unresponsive for weeks on end When you do finally get hold of them they are unable to explain the most basic things Feels like you are dealing with children When selling a property or dealing with a legal matter you need a firm to be on point and deal with the matter properly promptly would highly recommend NOT using JS Law if you want things dealt with smoothly efficiently
