UPDATE to my original feedback - Incredibly disappointed
UPDATE on Nov 6 2024 I m pleased to share that the KYS management team has reached out to offer their assistance I m grateful for their effort and support and I m hopeful for a positive outcome I ll keep everyone updated on the final result Our primary objective remains ensuring that manufacturers stand behind their products especially those that are high-end and expensive Original post I live at the US and recently purchased KYS unfortunately I m very disappointed with this purchase First and foremost the motor stops while mixing flour and water I contacted customer service and they were incredibly unhelpful Their response was that the issue was my fault and that the machine is functioning as designed They refused to agree to an even exchange despite the manufacturer s commercial claiming a lifetime warranty on the motor Additionally the fact that the machine doesn t tilt makes it extremely difficult to get the dough out and clean It s simply not practical Buyers from US beware and do your homework Consider about companies that has dealers at the US that can support and honor I basically received zero support from this company

Poor aftersales service because product comes from Aliexpress
Where to start I ordered the spiral mixer which was supposed to come with all import tax paid Once it arrived to the UK I got a bill from UPS Clearly something had gone wrong I contacted KYS who said they reached out to UPS Norway and it would be sorted Unfortunately it wasn t and I did not get a strong idea they were on the ball and let me mostly sort it out Ultimately it seems to have been handled I think never heard again secondly a part was damaged on shipment KYS promised to post out the part but 3 months later I am still waiting for it to be repaired They said they posted it out but gave me a tracking code for a US address After many follow ups they have now stopped responding Also found out that their website if seemingly full of misleading information These mixers are not all designed by them but can just be bought of Aliexpress Alibaba just search spiral mixer and they will come up with ability to customise like the KYS logo The information on their website that its been designed to high standard and all that seems factually wrongWithout any kind of support you are probably better off just buying these generic mixers there Having said that the mixer itself is okish but the speed controller is poor

Very good machine
Very good machine Sturdy but very quiet The only issue is with the unremovable bowl It makes it difficult and time consuming to clean properly The option with the removable bowl is way too expensive for home use

US consumer pizza dough
US consumer purchased the Pro 7 Very well made and fit and finish is excellent for the money I agree there are a few small issues one the breaker bar is awful sharp and is so close to the mixing drum it s near impossible to clean underneath Also having to reset the variable speed control every time you open the cage Overall a great unit only wish it wasn t made in China I personally would have paid more if it was manufactured in the EU

Bought a Kys Pro Baker 5 It arrived with a defective motor After talking with customer service regarding some options I decided to send the mixer back and get refunded I have to say customer service did good and they refunded me everything

An amazing mixer with a few minor annoyances
I would give my mixer a 4 6 5 The KYS is an amazing mixer It is quiet and powerful I am super happy with the dough it produces It has pretty much ruined me for planetary mixers I have to use 60l planetary at work and the difference in quality it unbelievable Why does it lose 0 4 points A couple of small things The breaker bar is super sharp on all edges My hands are pretty scraped up from pulling the dough out and cleaning it I could easily pull the breaker bar off and use one of my debuting tools for the edges and a file for the top corners but I d don t feel I should have to That is definitely my biggest complaint Second would be the on off when opening the cage Why does it not start up again when I close the cage Why do I have to zero out the potentiometer and refind the speed I want It seems like an easily solved issue Things I wish it had would be an LCD display for the speed I have a recipe I make Four batches at a time almost every two weeks since I bought it in May 2024 and that number is looking to increase Why can t I have an easy way to dial in my recipe All the weights are to the gram or under and the temperatures of all the ingredients are within 2 C batch to batch The only difference in when it is finished is the mixer speed I have to babysit each batch for the last 30-60 seconds because I don t know if got the same speed as last time I can t turn the mixer sideways to see the dial and can t lean in easily either I would really be able to dial in my recipe if I could precisely replicate my mixing speeds Another wish list is an optional temp probe or an infrared thermometer that sits on the top or front with a temperature alarm or even better connected to the mixer itself to stop it I know this adds cost and complexity but if I could add it myself I would buy it today The complaints are small but not to be ignored I would buy another KYS mixer in a heartbeat if I needed one though and have recommended it to many people For the price and build quality I can easily overlook the few shortcomings I mentioned
