My wife had a follow up apt at the doctors office She talked with the doctor for 10 minutes 500 charge She then had a follow up phone call with the doctor 5 minutes 500 When asked for an explanation she was told it was because she had not reached her deductible what s that have to do with it Human kindness how about human ripoff

Dignity Healthcare - Medicine or Business
Dignity Healthcare is all about telling you in glowing terms what you should receive from them in terms of healthcare and then doing exactly the opposite in practice and performance First they are averse to public contact If you call the Dr who oversees your care you initially get passed off to a call center so they can filter your reason for calling After several other transfers you may be lucky enough to actually talk to someone who works in your doctor s office You ll never reach the Dr s office directly Second they document every conversation every call every emotion that you express frustration anger etc and that becomes a part of your permanent health record Many things will go into your permanent medical record incorrectly because the Dr was not accurate in what he entered And there is no way you can correct that Why is this being done by Dignity health professionals My guess is because they are really practicing law not medicine Third there is an appalling lack of basic communication skills among staff and doctors toward patients especially with regard to prior medical issues and current concerns When a doctor and patient are in the examining room the doctor pays more attention to writing his narrative on computer than she he does to listening to and examining the patient It is a sort of theoretical medicine that is being conducted between doctor and patient rather than a hands-on practice based on examination and diagnostics On a recent visit I talked with my doctor for perhaps 20 minutes in a sort of question-and-answer format He dismissed most of my concerns and was more interested in suggesting websites that had to do with healthy eating and living He never looked in my ear regarding recent hearing loss and pain there and almost as an afterthought quickly listened to my heart only not my lungs before he exited the exam room If you expect Dignity Healthcare to deliver the same type of medicine as healthcare professionals used to deliver you will be sadly mistaken But they always make sure to get your primary and secondary insurance information correct But what is your insurance paying for In my opinion a lot of borderline competence and minimal-standard medicine Dignity should look after their patient s best interests first rather than their financial viability I m not in the healthcare business so I can t tell them how to fix it A return to traditional Dr s Office medicine could be a start I can say that if you use words like diginity and respect in your promotional material and don t exhibit that with a caring competent work force you may fool some but not all of the public If Dignity Healthcare continues to make medicine solely a business I predict it will fail in both

Dealing with Dignity has been a joke
Dealing with Dignity has been a joke The ombudsman cares more about covering the hospital s a than trying to help Complete opacity in investigating and responding to a situation where someone obviously screwed up and it wasn t me I showed up for a surgery and my doctor amazingly did not She never told the hospital she wasn t coming and she lied about my insurance company denying authorization for the surgery She never bothered to get authorization and the hospital never bothered to confirm what she had done After I was sent home they told me they have no oversight over doctors and couldn t do anything about what she had done Enen though she wears their logo and is in their care network and has privileges at the hospital Adding further insult to injury I got a bill for several hundred dollars about a month later No itemization or explanation I have to call and request that an itemized bill be sent When it s sent it s related to the surgery I never had I never made it out of their lobby and they want to bill me

Horrible healthcare I ve been with them 15 years and this is the worst ever I m probably going to go to a different provider next year Stay away unless you have a lot of time to spend playing phone tag waiting on hold and then having the departments screw up your referrals

Actually it s zero stars I called the police department and they took me to emergency at dignity health hospital My movements of my body was uncontrollable I could hardly function They billed my insurance company for no treatment at all Every time I went to get help it was always no treatment at all

Watch out for nurses inappropriate behavior While my mother was in the hospital a nurse named Justin Marasigan followed me down to the cafeteria to ask for my number Shortly after he was trying to kiss me in the parking lot St Rose Hospital hasn t done anything about it How often is something like this happening They are allowing this unethical and inappropriate behavior

I ordered but received nothing
I ordered my meds three weeks ago and I still didn t get them I think it s a big failure If I needed diabetic supplies not sure l ll still be existing Finally got my medications from Jeremiah Mash 509 542-7608 He s indeed a lifesaver

Money is the bottom line with this corporation Not health not wellness not quality of life Money Dignity would not work with me on a payment plan instead telling me that I comply with their terms or it goes to collections My offer was 70 a month They would not budge off 83 50 a month explaining that it was against their policy to go any lower All heart these people But they re not people They re a cold calculating money-hungry corporation Don t be fooled by their warm fuzzy commercials telling you they care You could die as far as they re concerned

AWFUL-CONSTANTLY RESCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS
Not only does it take several weeks sometimes months to see a specialist they are constantly calling to reschedule appointments for everything Luckily I have a medical plan that I can see any doctor or medical group So I will be changing
