My hair always looks very healthy after I use overtone Unfortunately I did not realize that blue for brown hair does not stick to your hair as well as black and purple It only lasted 3-4 days and you could barely see the blue on my dark brown hair

This is the first time I ve ever been disappointed by an Overtone product The new smoky purple did absolutely nothing My hair is naturally dark but it s been lightened multiple times so the ends are pretty blond I ve never had a problem with color depositing with colors like pastel purple or the regular rose gold Obviously had great success with brighter purples reds oranges etc I ve even used The Bleach to great success But the smoky purple Just nothing I m giving this a three star only because the rest of my order I know works and the order arrived timely Love Overtone but I can t recommend Smoky Purple

It was a personal issue I thought my hair was light enough i didn t wanna add any bleach and damage my hair more it does look purple feels really soft and looks like it took no damage but i personally just wish it was a little more noticeably purple

The color isn t really what a I expected it s more green than a true teal

Overall my experience with the Overtone products was a mixed bag Most of my hair runs from a dirty blonde to a light brown color with some streaks of lighter blonde I knew not to expect bright color which is good because it needs to be more subtle for my job but my experience with the pastel pink and smoky magenta colors was a total let-down Despite putting them on dry clean hair for over 40 minutes and rinsing with super hot water there was literally no visible color in my hair The rose gold for brown hair was better-- I followed the same process and it did leave a subtle pink tint that has lasted through one shampoo so far It s at least noticeable and the product does smell great and conditions nicely But overall I think there might be something about the texture of my hair that just doesn t hold onto the color and it won t be a repeat experiment for me

The colors do not cover whether they are for dark hair or not The green just tinted my scalp Color absolutely does not stay on my hair The brown turned my gray hair orange Very frustrating Expensive and cannot return

I ve used overtone a few times but this last time I feel like they weakened their product I ve always just ordered extreme red or red for brown hair and it used to last ages and it never really went away all the way but this time its fully gone in like two weeks I might try their rose gold before I totally give up on this brand but idk I hope I m imagining it

The Red for Brown hair didn t really do anything on my brown hair luckily I have highlights so I definitely got some results there That said it did make my hair super soft and the application process was really simple and not messy The smell isn t amazing but it is WAY better than dye or any other color depositing product I ve tried before

This is the 2nd time I ordered 3 products and was offered a bunch of small packages of gloves at no additional charge I hit to accept them They did not arrive either time If you are not going to follow through with something then do not offer it It would be nice if you went back to having something to pull up when you want to open your overtone It makes such a mess now and it used to be easy

My product arrived damaged which your amazing customer service rep replaced no problem However the replacement also arrived damaged in the exact same way The jar lids were cracked and the seals were broken So customer service is actually 5 stars but packaging shipping is zero stars I do like the product though it just needs to be shipped in a box and not an envelope
