I was reading about how Perplexity AI was a reliable AI service but I guess now that they are using DeepSeek in their searches that reliability just went out the door Microsoft and open AI are now saying DeekSeek download a lot of their data using a back door So I give this device one star for their business ethics and I will never use or download any associated app or service involved with this company Best of luck to all who do

Perplexity Drops Questions

Perplexity continues to stutter and drop queries so I have a workaround Two in fact 1 the first time you do any search question in a while eg you ve not just asked a Q or recently refreshed the page copy your query text before clicking return so that as when it gets deleted you can easily paste it back in and retry until it wakes up and responds 2 ALTERNATIVELY just paste whatever is in your clipboard to the query box and press return - and repeat until it eventually wakes up and responds Obviously this is very wasteful but hopefully it will encourage the engineers at Perplexity to wake up themselves and stop wasting all OUR time

They did a promotion for a one-year free subscription After correctly using the code FREEPROUNIVERSE and creating a new account - I got the information that I did not qualify because I already had an account I never used the perplexity service Trying to enter the code again and use a private email address - I also got the same information that the account was already established This is a lie and feels cheated I don t know - maybe they needed some data from people to set up accounts and activation was not possible anyway - I recommend paying attention to their service btw The offer is valid until November 6 2024 at 11 59pm PST so act fast Now this code doesn t work

This has been the most disappointing experience I ve had with AI services Despite their claims of offering multiple AI models all operations appear to be run solely on ChatGPT 3 5 This model s performance is significantly inferior compared to others I specifically chose the Claude 3 5 Sonnet model yet it struggled with even the simplest tasks In contrast the genuine Claude 3 5 Sonnet handles these tasks with ease It seems the website uses misleading labels possibly to deceive less informed users Scam website that has a chargeback and lawsuit coming their way

Possible virus in paid promotion media kit

Was approached to do a social media marketing paid promotion and was given media kit to download after asking for a preview of the ad video through DMs Media kit contained some files one was a scr file a Windows Screenshot script file named something along the lines of a partner agreement which is highly suspicious scr files can be used maliciously - search up What is the scr virus and how do you remove it after this I do not trust them at all - very shady practices
