I had a negative experience with Poste

I had a negative experience with Poste Italiane at two stages 1 I am still waiting for an EXPRESS package from abroad which was sent on 14th February Via the national post service abroad Apparently Chronopost took over the parcel when it arrived to Italy but the post office cannot confirm this fact since they are unable to identify the tracking number 2 I tried to contact both Poste Italiane and Chronopost Customer Service Poste Italieane was unable to locate the parcel Chronopost chatbot was completely useless it kept repeating that my parcel has been delivered and tried to offer OTHER services Then the customer service on the phone directed me to the sender - who is a private person not a company Strangely when I presented the sender s reference number the conversation suddenly stopped Then in email I got the same response again package has been delivered and when I asked any kind of proof a document signature an address or anything the conversation in email again STOPPED There is no way to ask compensation they blame the sender for I do not know what reason P S I was AT home on the stated date and hour of delivery since I was waiting for my package Noone called me on the phone noone rang my doorbell nothing happened 150 EUR lost thanks to who knows who I strongly disrecommend the company

Don t give up hope

It was my first time sending something to Italy for a friends birthday I sent a small package with presents on the 3rd August and was told at the post office it should be there within a week which was great But when I saw the reviews I literally lost all hope that the package would ever get to Italy As soon as it arrived in Italy on the 10th there was problems reported and missing declaration which was odd as I declared everything I emailed Poste Italiane and they came back to me quickly confirming that I needed to provide declaration and that the Post Office had to confirm that what I was stating was in the package was true After a bit of back and fourth I basically had to go to the Post Office fill out another declaration and send this over to Poste Italiane This still wasn t sufficient and I had to state again for the third time what was in the package who I was sending it too and so on They also said that the package had to be opened by the sender myself with the postal operator who can verify what has been reported So I believe that nearly sent the package back to me for verification which is crazy At this point I was fed up and it was the 17th and my friends birthday is on the 26th so I told them to open the package themselves so that they can verify what I was saying was correct After this email I was told that they would get back to me then all of a sudden my package was processed the next day and delivered to a nearby post office in Italy Unfortunately my friend had to pay to collect this and all the presents was opened as I had instructed but nothing was missing or damaged Personally I wouldn t use Poste Italiane again but they was quick at responding and eventually got the job done -
