Use a different company

The original engine purchased from powertrain products either had the bearings over torqued or wrong size within 2 hours of replacement started knocking Bearing that held camshaft snapped in half They sent another engine but wouldn t cover any labor for either engine replacement I had to pay out of pocket for 2 engine replacements

Useless Organization - Can t Even Get The Right Part

I got an email quote for a transmission when I phoned to check availability it turned out the quote was for the WRONG transmission They then spent 5 minutes doggedly arguing that I was wrong and the transmission specified by Chrysler in their catalogue and on the ID sticker under the hood was incorrect and THEY were right Funnily enough the actual transmission number agreed with the sticker and Chrysler s records She started claiming that someone had changed the transmission from the OE one no doubt printing fake Chrysler ID stickers part catalogues and transmission casings to cover up their swap then abruptly hung up on me

Horrible experience

Horrible experience Purchased a transmission a month ago and never received it Every week I would call to get an update and would get sent to voicemail with no return call Sent out emails to follow up and kept getting told that tney had a new testing system that the transmission was down on production floor already and that it should be shipping out any day now Was given that answer for four weeks Finally emailed and asked if they even had it in stock and was told If we had it in stock it would have been shipped already My question is why wasn t this explained in the beginning instead of getting the run around and given different excuses each week

The 3 0 motor I received appeared to be

The 3 0 motor I received appeared to be a good deal I purchased an extended warranty along with their Powertrain Pure Care coverage Since the engine did not come with an oil pan valve covers or timing cover I had the shop reuse mine Powertrain included a set of gaskets with the engine the mechanic who installed them compared them to something you might get off EBAY for 5 After driving my truck for less than 200 miles it developed a leak that the service advisor described as a faulty oil pan gasket Of course Powertrain Products denied coverage saying the gaskets were not covered under the warranty I will not be dealing with them again

Requested core return online

Requested core return online One month later called 4 different times before a human answered callback never worked I requested a core return and he stated they would pick it up on Tuesday Nobody showed Wendsay again nobody Thursday when I am in another state he is in my drive and nobody is at home Yep Talked him into waiting so my son could meet him and send it back However in the meantime I am getting emails requesting tracking number This has been the worst total experience with a single company in my entire life from the lies on availability false statements on 4 different occasions of when the motor will arrive to just trying to get rid of the motor I hope the motor makes it thru the warranty just so I never have to deal with this again

10 31 23 Bought a new Hemi from these

10 31 23 Bought a new Hemi from these people 4 miles on motor bottom end grenades 11 10 I notify them core is ready They respond saying the core department is behind schedule and someone will contact me 9 days afterwards I call them to find out why I haven t heard anything They respond with its outside of 2 weeks the core charge is already pending Because its outside of 2 weeks now After raising hell and giving the name of the individual in the core department who said they would contact me back They relented and did not charge me a core Had to wait 2 weeks for a new intake from Dodge required for power trains warranty Motor was installed by a certified Chrysler mechanic on the side During initial testing after starting motor within four miles it grenated internally It took a week for Dan warranty dept to make contact with me He informed me I had to pay the mechanic to take the top end off the motor drain and sift the oil to inspect for possible causes I told them I wanted a new motor like I paid for They said I had no choice but to proceed And do it Top end did not show any damage Then they had the audacity to ask me to pull the oil pan off I told him I would not do that But I would call american express and dispute all charges Then all of a sudden he agrees to send me a new motor New motor would not ship until original core motor was received After dismantling the new motor and finding it full of broken metal We knew it was nothing to do with the installation Power train tells me there warranty does not cover external parts damaged by their motor Another intake for this hemi is 900 dollars now Keep in mind I just paid 807 dollars for a new intake a month ago These people suck their motor s suck their customer service sucks an their so called warranty is worthless I would not recommend buying a motor from these people Still waiting for another new intake so hopefully this motor at least runs I also still have to pay the certified Chrysler Mechanic another 800 to put this motor in This company assumes no responsibility for selling me a piece of s motor when it comes to having to pay to have the job done again Even though my certified mechanic had nothing to do with the junk motor coming apart

This company DOES NOT stand behind their product

This company DOES NOT stand behind their product I purchased a NEW engine and within 5000 miles it began overheating They needed to take the entire engine apart to find the problem After a month of them trying to determine the cause they told me that there was a hole in the engine that shouldnt be there Then they tell me that the hole SHOULD be there Then that it could have been a list of other things wrong but they cant figure out what happened Finally they tell me that the warranty wont apply because I didn t have all new mopar parts installed at the same time as the engine replacement So it seems to me that they tried to find ANY reason to deny the warranty I mean seriously they want me to replace the alternator water pump radiator AC compressor etc In the end I m left with a rebuilt engine without a warranty that I paid new engine price for

Horrible core return process bad engine

The buying process was not surprisingly fast shipping was fast too and thats it I m going on 7 8 or 9 plus months trying to return the core pretty sure they charged my card too Every time I call they tell me they schedule it and give me a date yeah that never happens It doesn t end there my engine is just getting installed and now I m being informed the brand new engine I paid 5 000 for has metal flakes inside the brand new engine Every part being put in that engine is new and mopar now I gotta see what the company can do but judging from these reviews I might be out of 5 000 for the engine and another 2 200 for labor maybe more if that engine needs to come out too
