Miserable staff dry stale salmon sandwiches rip off price Never again

What has happened to Pret As many others here pre-pandemic I was in Pret every single day for my lunch Customer service was always quick and super friendly despite the shops being full to the brim City of London there always was a lot of choice despite the time of the day and a fantastic selection of vegan and veggie options The customer service now is terrible And that s in most branches in the City of London The staff are so miserable the queues are long and completely disorganised people jump the queues but the staff are so disengaged that they don t even notice I now purposefully avoid Pret wherever I can and whilst I d have never dreamt of grabbing supermarket sandwiches when I m in the office the self checkout experience is a breath of fresh air in comparison to the Pret experience In terms of quality the offerings are now on par with supermarkets lunches pastries anyway and so overpriced

BE WARNED- extreme care needed if you go to pret a manager We were in london for weekend Visited pret branch at 7 marylebone lane We were targeted and robbed in broad daylight 14 20pm whilst sitting at a table at theback of the restaurant Van waiting outside with door open to collect thief Staff advised afterwards this is a regular occurance Obviously targeted and tipped off Tried contacting pret customer service Lip service via their staff for 3 days Noapology Zero assistance Eventually i was asked if i reported the crime- which iaffirmed- whereupon i was advised by Phoebe that this was no longer prets problemand there was nothing more they can do

Recently they don t provide any cup glass etc to drink canned drinks out of I queried this as it s not advised to drink out of a can or glass bottle but apparently this is company policy So they don t mind if you catch something from a dirty can or cut your mouth on the glass I agree with others that customer satisfaction is not a priority The staff can be rude and especially the manager at my local branch Looks like I m back to Costa Their croissants aren t so good but they give you a cardboard container to pour your drink into You also get proper mugs not the throwaway ones like Pret give you coffee in Fine for take out but really You are meant to share a paper bag for your bakery items as well with your friends as no plates provided it s getting really cheap in product but extortionate in price

What s happened to Pret I ve been a customer for the best part of 20 years and now seeing the unjustified price rise have walked out of the door and it s hard to get someone to walk back through the door I m aware of cost of living challenges but not the extent prices have risen Sadly my business is elsewhere

Dirty tables and rude staff A friend and I visited this Kingston Church Street marketplace branch on 13 03 24 at around 15 40 We were asked if we were drinking our coffees in or out we replied that we would sit upstairs on the first floor as all seats on the ground floor were taken The prices here seem rather inflated compared to other coffee shops locally - 7 for two coffees We then went upstairs were there were a few people but a couple of empty seats The tables were filthy scattered with food crumbs and looking greasy At just passed 16 00 one of the staff members came into the room and barked at everybody stating we would have to move downstairs as they were closing the upstairs - no request just an order and no explanation - the branch wasn t due to close until 18 00 another two hours We explained that there were no seats downstairs but the surly staff member told us that there was She then began to spray tables close to us with cleaning fluid Firstly the staff clearly don t care that customers have to sit at filthy tables as they only seem concerned to clean them when they want to close the store and not to make customers more comfortable Secondly why close off a part of the shop two hours before closing time particularly when that part of the shop is the only area with available seating Clearly this is for the convenience of the staff so they can get away as soon as the clock strikes 18 00 - again no thought for the comfort of the customers I m not sure if anyone from Pret ever reads these reviews as there s not one response to any of them as far as I can see Even if this is the case at least this review might serve as a caution to other potential customers I shall certainly not be using this branch again particularly when there are numerous other better options available locally

I went to Pret in Canon Street today for my usual morning coffee run I waited for 20 mins for my oat latte it was a busy time in the morning so it s not the issue The problem is when I asked the lady nicely Would you mind checking on my order she turned around to me and said Did you not see the lady who was here but couldn t pay and walked away because you distracted me She said that exactly right after I asked her nicely I found it unacceptable when you treated customer like that They clearly also forgot my order as when I asked there wasn t any oat latte displayed on the screen and multiple people who arrived after me had their coffees and already left You can t treat the customer who already paid and taking out on them because they check on their order

Asked for gluten free and the server could really not be bothered to help so had to do without a snack with coffee only to realise they had gluten free options near the take out point Last time I use pret

Visited the pret in cavendish square Really brusque rude service The fruit salad was so unripe and hard I couldn t eat it with their rubbish wooden fork I won t be coming here again It used to be so much better

I have been unable to download the Pret app on my android phone as it says the device is incompatible I have never had this issue before and have multiple apps on the phone including banks I have tried since Wednesday afternoon to find out how I am supposed to get coffee this week on the back of the subscription they happily took out of my bank on Friday I can appreciate their intentions but giving 2 working days notice is simply nonsensical I have put on several very positive reviews about shops visited I work at multiple sites for the NHS and feel very let down by this I have just replied again to customer services who have more or less asked the same question so am not entirely sure what they are going to come up with Having to pay twice from tomorrow is not good enough
