ProAudio Star s Brand New Product Lie
Let me preface this review by noting that I ve written many 5 star reviews for companies that sell music and audio equipment on their official websites when they provide a good experience B H Photo and iDJ Now are great examples Pro Audio Star simply isn t one of them Since it s not possible to add videos to this review I had no choice but to create a whole new channel for one video The video evidence is in my YouTube video Pro Audio Star s Brand New Beyer Dynamic Product LieOn September 9th while looking for the best price for a new pair of Beyer Dynamic DT 770 Pro 80 Ohm Headphones Pro Audio Star had the best price Every time I order anything for my safety as a consumer my iPhone screen recorder records the transaction and when the product comes in a complete unboxing is recorded as well Each one takes all of one to four mins but it backs me up as a buyer Pro Audio Star listed a Brand New pair of the DT 770 Pro Headphones for 129 99 that was 30 less than any other site or store Shipping was also free and that was nice given that it s not very common outside of Amazon with the package arriving 2 days later which fell on a Saturday That s also where the nice experiences ended completely The expensive and delicate headphones shipped in a cheap slip sleeve that wasn t padded The box was badly damaged as a result The package wasn t properly factory sealed either so after opening it up the headphones were crammed into the left corner of the box and lifting them by the padded headband resulted in one of the headphone ear cups dangling from its audio cable There were scratches on every surface of the headphones as well as hair strands in the soft inner padding of the headphone cups Part of the raised logo s paint on the broken headphone cup s side was missing due to visible scratches What makes this even worse is that even if they had sent a new pair of headphones it still would ve been arrived in a cheap thin dusty garbage bag like slip sleeve resulting in a damaged box That shows what Pro Audio Star thinks of paying customers because my friend who I sent the unboxing video to said I ve seen toilet paper packaged better than this Once I removed the headphone cord from its cardboard cover a piece of warped yellowing Scotch Tape fell off That tape was supposed to hold the clear bag the headphone cable was wrapped in After repackaging it exactly the same way it was received I tried to reach Pro Audio Star s customer service department but they re not open on Saturday or Sunday Their customer service hours are from Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm There s a message system that allows for issues to be sent through their site after hours though I requested a full refund including shipping the item back as well as waving restocking fees due to the condition the headphones were in A manager emailed me and the exchange was very nice on paper but after that no free return label offer was made even after sending videos and photos as evidence Late the next day no response occurred so I used their site messenger and Curran the person who helped me also came across nicely but yet again even though the records show that a full refund was requested I was offered a replacement By that point I already ordered and received a pair of DT 770s at their regular price from Amazon which was packaged properly in a bubble wrapped box and was also actually Brand New I told Curran that the headphones would be sent back the same exact way they were delivered to me broken ear cup damaged box and all The return label was sent over and Fed Ex tracking verified that Pro Audio Star received it on Wednesday September 22nd I messaged them throughout the week to expedite my refund Since they literally stopped responding after the label was sent a complaint was filed with Bank Of America on September 27th In the end their intervention will be responsible for getting my full 138 24 refund back The moral of this story is to stick to the online stores you know because if a deal looks too good to be true and no one is willing to match it there s a very good reason for that The other moral is if you order any item no matter what the price of that item is and that item happens to be delicate and it s shipped in a literately dusty feeling garbage bag sleeve that s what the company in this case Pro Audio Star thinks of you as a consumer Do you as a customer want to entrust your hard earned money to a company that delivers your packages to you that way In closing I m not a major retailer by any means but I ve sold a lot of items on Amazon since 2003 ranging from graphics cards to high end DJ gear and still have a perfect 5 star reseller rating because packages are wrapped with care and when my items are labeled as mint in box they actually are

Incompetent at best fraudulent at worst
Didn t plan on writing a review for these guys but after getting an email asking for me to share my experience I thought maybe I can save someone else the headache This is the second time I have ever written a negative review it s a real badge of awful honor when I spend my time warning others about shady business practices Also to be fair my experience ended with an appropriate item but what it took to get there was frustrating and they as of 4 21 have shorted my refund by 35 citing fees Their behavior is going to cost them a lot more than 35 after I copy paste this review everywhere they have an internet presence That and I purchased a second guitar from their competition due to their unacceptable support Alright the details I discussed the used inventory with a sales rep before committing to the purchase The rep assured me the guitars are used but look like new and will be 100 free from any defect or flaws I have screenshots I ordered a guitar based on this conversation description and it arrived with paint defect flaws that match B-Stock conditions I was suspicious and asked them if they re selling B-Stock items under the guise of used but like new descriptions Personally I d rather have a great condition used guitar vs a factory blem defect After asking about it they assured me that they don t sell B-Stock items but later admitted the guitar sold to me does meet that description Despite this I was told an exchange couldn t be guaranteed due to inventory and they suggested I place another order then ship the original back I did this and the second guitar arrived in appropriate condition I sent the first guitar back and they said they would see if they could get the 35 fee removed since the guitar was clearly not as described After a couple weeks a refund posted to my bank account and was short by 35 I followed up and asked about it they said they ll see if it can be removed Hasn t happened I gave it another week and followed up No response More weeks pass more follow ups more excuses and we ll see if we can make the exception by the end of the week After reading that for the fourth or fifth time I gave an ultimatum Refund me the 35 or I ll purchase my next guitar elsewhere and leave negative reviews If they didn t sell a clearly flawed finished guitar in the first place as like new this never would have happened Not sure why I m being held responsible for their false advertising The last communication I received from them they even admit the guitar was inspected and meets B-Stock description and basically they aren t going to refund me the 35 So they re either incompetent at best or fraudulent at worst In the end this is costing them a lot more than 35 because the guitar was purchased as a gift and I planned to buy another one for myself I took my business elsewhere and I suggest the same to you Pitbull Audio has better prices anyway hopefully they have better customer service too

Horrible don t order from them
This site has horrible customer service do not order from them I order a Stage Light from them using sezzle I put the order in my cart go through checkout process using sezzle when I finalize sezzle payments and when it kicked me back to their site it said item out of stock Sezzle told me my order was processed Well I call them and spoke to a gentleman named Zed he tells me I m checking with financial team to see is the sezzle order went through you will get a email from me tonight after reading many reviews this seems to be their thing Never heard from them so I called them again I was told by Zed yet again we are working on it with sezzle you will get a email from me tonight I got no email I called sezzle and they told me that each company has a dashboard that they log into and can see the orders right away There is something shady with this company If you decide to order I would us PayPal or something so your protected

Only received 1 2 of the items because
Only received 1 2 of the items because they oversold it didn t tell me until the day before it arrived I also didn t get any tracking info until the day before it arrived I would have marked it as a positive experience if they had been up front with what was happening communicated better but I had to keep sending messages to find out what was happening and wait a few days between responses Definitely disappointed had to find another speaker to replace the one they oversold

I ordered a guitar and receieved it
I ordered a guitar and receieved it damged but not no damage to the box or package I contacted them for a replacement and it took a month to get the replacement Guess what Also damaged but again no damage to packaging I have a pretty good feeling at this point they are selling damaged equipment knowingly I m done with them

Substandard - Buy Elsewhere
Whoever is in charge of this company s Facebook advertising is doing a poor job and the ads are formatted in properly so that if you want to know what the product actually is you have to click on it This is a waste of time for the customer and it s a waste of money for the company I commented on a couple of their erroneous ads and my comments were deleted so I sent them a Facebook message with examples of ads by Sweetwater and musicians friend and American musical Supply and rather than learn something whoever the thin-skinned person was that got my message just blocked me and wrote me off Big mistake

These guys are crooks Placed an order on May 21 After reading several complaints I canceled the order within an hour Received an email from rep saying he ll check with shipping and get back to me He never did I followed up several times via email and phone all which were not returned or answered Disputed the charge with Affirm Today learn Affirm sided with ProAudioStar and I m responsible for the loan on a product I never received Now I m being proactive and discovered tons of complaints on line and facebook about ProAudioStar There are dozens of complaints of taking money and not shipping product Next step is seeking legal advice

Worst company ever
Worst company ever I spent 3 000 dollars on two sennheizer mics One of them was defective when I opened box I reached back out to get a replacement unit and they literally stopped returning my emails After the 30 day return policy they reached back out and said send it to sennheizer These guys are legitimately dishonest and I would highly recommend not using this company I should have read the reviews on this company before spending 3 000 dollars on my first audio Super disheartening

Awfull looking fender plus top
I went to the website and purchased a new fender player plus top I received it in 3 days Box had holes it but guitar didn t have any shipping damage I purchased a new guitar and received a used one Tag was off guitar scratches all over the front tremolo was not in the bag and loose in the box the two allen wrenches weren t in the bag And worst of all the maple flame was non existence except a little above the pickguard Funky streaks running across the guitar Worst looking plus top I have seen I emailed proaudiostar four days ago and of course no response I won t be purchasing anymore guitars or recommending them
