The survey was carried out promptly and the report received in a few days thank you The report was comprehensive and consisted of 81 pages and included numerous useful photographs At first glance the report was alarming and it could have caused serious doubts as to whether to continue the purchase After consultation with a builder and a roofer we have decided that a significant number of the 19 issues designated as needing urgent attention do not in fact need attending to immediately A number of the surveyor s comments are along the lines of could cause a problem in the future rather than there is a problem and do not to my mind take into account the age of the property Nevertheless we are finding the survey to have been an extremely useful process and entirely understand that it is the surveyor s duty to alert us to everything he sees Overall we are very satisfied with the whole process and feel that it was excellent value for money especially compared to other quotes
