I requested a refund for two tickets purchased to participate in the EDP 8K Marathon in Lisbon on October 5th The organizer directed me to Refund Protect to proceed with the request However the information and refund conditions were presented differently between the organizer and Refund Protect I was harassed and asked to provide an excessive amount of documentation including proof of the closure of my company s Lisbon branch and my inability to participate in the marathon due to having to return to France After threatening to exercise my European consumer rights and demand a refund as legally provided by Portuguese and European laws I finally succeeded It is frustrating and unacceptable to have to invoke the law just to claim a rightful refund I do not recommend the support service nor the long and arduous process for a mere 86 refund in the end
