Absolutely appalling experience My son is a vulnerable adult I called this company and explained his special needs I was told someone would be with him within 45 60 minutes I asked for reassurance as he was alone with a car with a puncture in the middle of nowhere and had sketchy phone signal I paid the deposit and was given a time they would get to him by After an hour and a half I was told the driver had crashed and was in hospital and another was being sent Who would be 45 60 minutes I reiterated my son s needs Another hour passed and apparently that van broke down Eventually it was dark my son was having panic attacks I was on the verge of calling the police to him as they have a duty to respond to a vulnerable adult After 4 5 hours someone eventually arrived If someone had said 4 5 hours originally other arrangements could have been made to handle the situation it was the lies and excuses that really grated and created enormous anxiety to both myself and my son

Avoid at all costs It took 5 hours from calling Road Mate to my tyre being fitted but advertised as 45 mins to 1 hour The tyre fitted arrived 2 hours after calling but didnt bring the correct tyre 1 job So put a temporary tyre on and then came back out to fit the correct tyre Customer service were helpful but the overall experience was shocking

Poor communication they state that they can get support out to you within an hour and ended up taking 4 hours Misquoted the cost didn t communicate with the company that ended up changing out tyre so paid more than the initial quote and then was gaslit by Sarah who asked my why I paid that much knowing full well I had been stranded in the middle of the road for the last 4 hours Would not recommend AT ALL

Absolute shamblesRang 6pm Sunday night and paid deposit for a tyre to be sent out and fitted in 45-90 mins Rang after 60 mins told driver on the way and to contact Rang again at 90 mins to be told the driver should have contacted Then after 2 hours of sat in the car stranded I was told my deposits refunded and the driver isn t coming

Got a flat tyre and rang this company they assured me they d have someone out to help within 30-45 minutes 4 hours later I was still waiting they were happy to take my deposit but after an hour they would no longer take my calls and completely ignored me When the tyre fitter finally got in touch it turned out they d been given the wrong address and the wrong tyre size Roadmate are incompetent misleading and totally unprofessional

TERRIBLE DO NOT USE My tire came away from the alloy whilst I was driving Contacted this company who said they could get someone out to me with 40 to 60 mins which I was very happy about 2 5hrs later sat in my own in the freezing cold the fitter arrived He said my locking wheel nut key was not the right one and that he didn t have the tools on him to get the tire off without the key I was not asked if I had the key etc I was just asked for the tire size when I booked It s concerning that an emergency tire fitter didn t have the correct tools to address the issue He then said he could go home and get the tools and would be 20mins which I didn t believe as it had taken over 2hrs for them to arrive He also said it would be an extra 50 at this point I said no and that I would use my breakdown cover to get home and organise a non urgent tire replacement He then said I needed to pay a 50 call out fee but I had already pre paid a 60 call out fee I then replied back to the WhatsApp that road mate sent me to check this was correct and I ve not had a response As a single female in my own late at night I really didn t expect to be intimidated and have a tire fitter try and con me out of more money

If I could give this company 0 I would AVOID Aggressive rude fitter Wanted paying direct in to personal account Very threatening Turned up to take tyre back No payment link sent from Road Mate for a couple of hours during that time fitter was getting more and more aggressive and threatening Still no official invoice after 4 days and multiple requests All fitters are contractors

I contacted this company online They responded to me via WhatsApp but by then I had already arranged for my emergency tyre replacement with another company so I my exact response was Hi thanks for your message I have the tyre sorted now They responded with calling me an - I m shocked I have screenshotted the entire conversation and wish I had the ability to attach it here

Lying about time promise to arrive within 45-60 minutes but actually arrive minimum 2 hours late after promised time Also upon calling them to inform that nobody arrived and not even tried to contact them just tell that them will contact driver not giving any estimate time or real help after you pay deposit you will left to just wait and no service will be provided to you This company is definitely SCAM

AVOID AVOID AVOID HUNDRED PERCENT AVOID Rudest person i have ever met They are scammers so avoid definitely I hate roadmate so much and the person they sent was vile
