Solidarity Healthshare isn t worth even

Solidarity Healthshare isn t worth even a 1 star review They have not covered 2 of my babies births through obscure rules- like you only have a narrow 6 week window in which to submit all the bills for the birth I was unaware of this not reminded by them of the obscure timeline and ultimately they covered nothing NOTHING The fact that they were informed and sent all the prior payment information before the birth didn t matter We jumped through every pre-notification hoop they required and paid up front for our midwife as they encourage paying in cash to take advantage of any discounts HUGE MISTAKE This is a company preying on young families seeking to support likeminded companies who will steward the dollars wisely They do not do this have a severe backlog and will never give you a straightforward answer to your questions Avoid and safe yourself the nightmare

Yes it s Catholic but they don t pay your bills

We have a 16K hospital birth bill from 19 months ago that still hasn t been paid We have creditors after us Every time we call they say the bill is in its final stage of processing We can t even jump to another Healthshare because we re still in holding We can t even get pregnant until this bill is paid We re at our wits end Stay away

Solidarity is un-christian and will not share your expenses

After spending over 30 000 in Voluntary Monthly Share Contributions since 2017 we received no more than 300 in shared expenses reimbursement Based on the membership guidelines I was fully expecting Solidarity to share my colonoscopy screening expenses After 16 months they never did Each time I or my doctor s office called regarding the delay we received a different story from the representative My daughter-in-law gave birth almost 2 years ago and Solidarity never paid a dime in shared costs for that event I have moved on now to a trustworthy organization but the cost of my screening will be out of my pocket Solidarity is not conducting business as a Christian organization and not paying shared expenses They will gladly take your monthly contribution but do not expect to see any sharing in return I can only imagine the pocket linings of the CEO and company executives

The person on the phone was very rude

The person on the phone was very rude to me showing a lack of compassion for my situation I was expecting a different experience than regular health care Do not send me any more emails or call me again

Would never recommend

Would never recommend Solidarity this healthshare borders on being a complete scam Invoices from 16 months ago have still not be evaluated for sharing Every time my husband and I call customer service we are told a different story We ve been told every excuse from computer glitches to varying employees to delays from oversharing Our rate was raised 249 in one year Sadly we ve wasted so much money in hopes of sharing through Solidarity

Stay away at all cost

Stay away Having Solidarity Healthshare is worse than having no health insurance We have had a nightmare experience with Solidarity In a nutshell they lose the bills you send them that they are a supposed to pay They will reprice the other bills to ridiculously low amounts and then fail to pay them in a timly manner Because of the repricing process you will have tofight on the phoneo for hours or pay the balance later when the hospital sends a balance bill to you They won t pay past what you ve already shard into the account Solidarity is worse than having no health insurance or HealthShare It s such a shame that they pretend to be Catholic but have just caused so much stress and hardship for my family

Consistently poor experience

Solidarity Healthshare consistently offered substandard service during our 5 years as members No concrete assistance in regards to sharing of medical bills Stonewalling and regurgitating legalese is their specialty while medical bills go further and further into arrears Our major medical bills were ignored and unpaid by Solidarity for nearly 2 years going into collection for which we were ultimately personally responsible for paying DO NOT RECOMMEND UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

After using Solidarity for about two

After using Solidarity for about two years for a family member that member changed to a job that included insurance We left the plan but made sure to do so once the next insurance was signed up for so that we wouldn t have a gap in coverage We cancelled Solidarity before the next charge was posted but were charged for that next month anyway We were told that we did not give enough notice but the cancellation policy stated that members can cancel at any time they prefer but can t require substantial notice This is appropriate since it is a cost sharing service not insurance -- it is voluntary and you aren t contractually obligated to continue contributing you legally can stop donating because it s officially a donation not a payment any time you wish As with any other nonprofit they can t take money from you just because they have your credit card number and you donated last month I was already having some misgivings about Solidarity as this is a Catholic sharing service and the policy became more and more narrow in what the admin believed that meant setting up policies that were connected more in some ways with what secularists would consider bad behavior rather than anything from the Catechism They have every right to do that it s their organization but it s never really been a Catholic thing to say you have to live a healthy lifestyle -- in fact you could argue most Catholic saints did not Catholic ethics would certainly mean the share plan wouldn t pay for contraceptives used for contraception but noting you can t abuse food seems like an excuse to keep fat people out of the pool Most disappointing though is the seeming dishonesty in communications following our cancellation Solidarity emailed me a copy of the very short cancellation policy but left out the part about sharing being voluntary A rep called me not to resolve the issue but to misrepresent that policy again and then when it became clear i knew the actual language made the charge illegal to attempt to guilt me into dropping my request for the charge to be refunded They refused to remove the illegal charge the card company adjudicated in our favor and removed it It s not a Catholic value to hide the truth in disputes To be clear we used Solidarity in order to be responsible and be able to pay bills if we needed to even though we are a low income family as Catholics it is important to us to try to do the right thing and we hoped Solidarity would be a good fit in helping us do tht Our young and healthy family member never thankfully needed to use Solidarity in the two years we paid into the pool We paid the company 4000 in total and the billing tells us that of that about 1800 went to admin costs and about 2200 to pay the medical bills of other members So the company itself got plenty from us for its overhead and it s frustrating they felt the need to steal 90 from us after we d cancelled our account and then dissemble and obfuscate when we requested they return it Hopefully this was just a blip and the organization has improved date approx
