Placed an order on 1st March Still not received All emails remain unanswered but I eventually got through on the telephone to a lovely lady who assured me my order would be with me soon 2 weeks ago I read they ve collapsed but are honouring all orders so I m hoping I will still receive it given they took my money To the people who have received theirs-did they tell you when it shipped or did it simply turn up unannounced

I placed two orders

I placed two orders 2nd March and 21st March It took 10 weeks for my 2nd March order to arrive I contacted customer service today asking about my 21st March order and the lady on the phone said it is now a 12 weeks wait and that she promises me that my order will definetly arrive in June I m optimistic as my first order did arrive

My 8 March order has arrived

My 8 March order has arrived Would have liked to have had an update saying my order would still arrive but these are strange times Each time I called customer services they did say I would receive my order and were perfectly polite

Sorry to hear about the closure of this

Sorry to hear about the closure of this company normally great service but after ordering on the closing down sale at the end of February and again at the start of March still waiting for the orders to come hoping that I will get them soonI am happy to say that I have now received both orders there were a couple of items out of stock but that is to be expected

6th March order not arrived yet

I have placed an order on the 6th march Never had any further emails to say been dispatched I understand they are busy so I waited until last week and emailed no reply so I emailed again and still no reply I had a birthday present ordered which is now too late I just hope to still receive soon after reading other reviews

I made several orders between February

I made several orders between February and March and received them all apart from one which I placed on the 6th March After numerous emails and calls all unanswered my last order finally arrived today It wasn t complete a few items missing but that s ok I emailed the company half an hour ago about my missing books and PayPal have just notified me of my refund can t complain about that The books themselves are fantastic and a great price too For those still waiting on orders don t give up hope just yet

The books do come evetually

Ordered the books on March 20th 2020 and they have finally arrived 79 days later I do realise that they are closing down and trying to fulfill orders with less staff etc so I have tried to be patient and take heart from the reviewers that say their books have arrived So for all those still waiting it does happen The books are very well packed and in perfect new condition My book stash was dangerously close to empty so I ordered some online I joked at the time that these would probably arrive at the same time The Book People order arrived yesterday and the other order is due tomorrow

Still waiting

Like many others placed an order during the last days of March and expected to wait around 7-8 weeks for delivery Finally had a dispatch email on 9th June so expected the books couple of days later and nothingManaged to phone through to customer services today and was told that there has been an issue with tracking items and Hermes for anything that was dispatched between 3rd-12th JuneThey are in the process of collecting data of everyone this affects and will be emailing those customers with an update so my wait continues

Does anyone know how to get hold of the book people now My order or a refund never arrived and they no longer answer the phone so wondering how to get my money back if they have finally closed all together

Not ideal but could be worse

Ordered about 20 items on 26th March Of these three items arrived three months later on 19th June The remaining 17 items were nowhere to be seen I contacted The Book People in early July and in all fairness I got a speedy response saying they had been lost by Hermes a full refund was then paid into my account about a week later Not ideal but it could had been much worse
