I have given 3 stars just for the simple reason it was kind of an unusual experience Firstly I had to call for some advice but was greeted with hello instead of the company name which seemed odd and a bit unsettling when I was sending an expensive item to recycle Any way I went ahead and sent the item special delivery with Royal Mail so it was insured and I could track it It arrived in the morning but I heard nothing no email to say it arrived nothing Again this made me feel uneasy That night I received the payment in full so that was great Just a little more communication would have made this a 5 star review

Very easy transaction with a very simple to understand website The money arrived in my bank account just before midnight on the day Trade in received my iPad However my concerns were that there was no confirmation from the company that they were processing the order after Royal Mail tracking showed delivered My order showed as Pending before I sent my iPad and my Trade in account went straight to Complete the day following the money transfer - there was no Received or Processing status in the interim The freepost 48hr tracked service offered by Trade in whilst good only provides a maximum of 20 00 compensation in the event that your package is damaged or lost en-route So if you are sending something of high value it is advisable to purchase additional compensation from Royal Mail or send by Special Delivery 1pm which covers you for a maximum of 750 compensation as standard

Overall very happy with the offer for my device it was the highest one after I compared several The process of free postage was an added bonus and I got paid promptly once they received the device I deducted a star begrudgingly because my only issue is the customer service is a bit slow so if they improve on that they would get 5 stars The issues I had were firstly when I agreed to the trade I didn t receive the free postage label for a few days and only after I emailed them for it Secondly I emailed them once I d posted the device because I forgot to remove my sim and no one got back to me Thirdly I tried calling several times after posting my device and no one answered the call and there was no facility to leave a voicemail Fourthly after they received my device it still continued to say pending on my account so they clearly do not update this when they receive a customers device but in the FAQs it says they do All this did cause me a little anxiety because it gave the impression that something was not right and I began to wonder if it was even a legit company Thankfully it all worked out and I got paid the day after they received my device so I m very grateful Incidentally they did eventually reply to my email about the sim on the day I got paid to advise me they had destroyed it as per my request but like I said it was too slow

Getting returns label wasn t the slickest of processes but then everything else was just great good job

Price excellent and process to send device easy No communication when received or when order would be paid Bank sent notification to notify me of inbound payment

Had 3 older iPhones to sell Good competitive prices Easy simple to understand and follow instructions Queries solved instantly

Really quick to process and pay out The only thing I would say is that the website and status of the order doesn t reflect where your order actually is in the process but it was really quick
