Edit I have an email from a Jay George saying he would be my point of contact at any time he was the one who sold me the contract but if he isnt a tutor then i was mislead to what i was being sold I still have his email Your answer is nothing that I did not expect Your answer has only further proved my opinion of the course and company is correct I was told at time of signing up I would have a personal tutor Jay for any queries or help as I was doing the course remotely also that I d have to do a couple of videos well in over 4 months in I ve not had any personal guidance on the course and so far I have 10 videos to do though I ve seen in a previous review train fitness deny this Bearing in mind I m just your average person with a gym membership I don t have proper access to a proper environment in which to film myself doing consultations fitness programmes and group induction classes I feel the actual course material is confusing and very contradictory and the sections don t flow they jump from one subject to another and back I ve stressed myself out over this and it s actually made me feel ill The material in this is difficult and with no guidance I m finding it confusing and very stressful When you phone you just get passed on to random people most who aren t helpful or particularly friendly One guy Ben was OK but only because he could tell how stressed I was over the whole thing The attitude of some of the others I ve spoken to have put me off even contacting the company One of the exam questions is whats the best way to contact train fitness The answer being by telephone yet when I telephoned to say I was struggling I was asked why I had only written one email mesage to them I feel they probably get lots of complaints but have standard answers to them rather than acknowledge that the course is not particularly great especially for remote learners I d advise anyone to find another course as I don t think this one is the best out there in person is probably quicker easier and more enjoyable I wish I d sifted through the really great reviews and found the ones where people like me are struggling especially doing the course remotely I wish I d done my homework before signing up I gave up my job to concentrate on the course but feel I ve wasted my hard earned money and time I have a degree with distinction in mental health nursing and have studied over the years with the open University and night school at college and I m finding this impossible to complete and stressful with both content and the amount of work involved I didn t expect the course to be easy but without input from those who are meant to be teaching it I don t see how it s possible to learn how to be a great PT from an online manual I ve been wanting to train as a PT for over 20 years and this course has destroyed any confidence I had about being one The course work teaches about being motivational inspiring and a role model but unfortunately train fitness don t appear to practice what they preach to their distance learners

A warning to those considering the Distance-Learning L3 PT course You will be charged 100-150 for each practical video assessment you fail even once Consider also that there is a strict pass criteria and you need to submit at least seven videos You will be locked out of all course content the day after the deadline to submit work even if you consequently need to retake assessments You will have to pay a minimum of 100 to extend the course even if the extension is required due to a fault with the course material - see below The app and the LAP the student portfolio were both glitchy In the case of the LAP this resulted in me having to redo my portfolio after half-way completing it It is wholly unclear what is required from students the LAP is particularly poorly written Most of the tutors support staff were unable to even provide a definitive answer on what practical videos I needed to submit In general the support staff are anything but supportive They clearly get a lot of complaints because their default was to be argumentative and unhelpful which had the desired effect of thoroughly putting me off ever contacting them When I highlighted the above issues and explained the course had caused me so much stress the only thing they could muster was We re sorry you found the course a stressful experience No justification for any of the hidden charges poor-quality course content or technical issues For a company that seems to pride itself on its professionalism its online products and general service leaves a lot to be desired Maybe they re all lovely people in person but they treat their online students very differently

350 to extend my course by a month
Quoted 350 to extend my course by a MONTH after surgery - the course cost 399 Do not become unwell or have a family bereavement if you are planning to study with this company as they will seek to profit from your misfortune 1 I had to have surgery 2 I informed Trainfitness that I would with plenty of notice not be able to complete within the 6 months and stipulated the reason why 3 they informed me that to extend it will be direct quote approximately 100- 350 month That is a MONTH For a course that cost 399 4 This is an entirely online course with no live teaching involved it is ALL pre-made content 5 I contacted Focus Awards the awarding organisation and they said that they set no time frame to finish the course there is merely a minimum amount of guided learning hours I am eagerly awaiting the reply to this message and whether they dispute any of the above Trainfitness will simply fall back on please refer to our T C s Post reply edit I invite everyone to read the passive aggressive reply sent by trainfitness below pay close attention to the last line and ask yourselves is this a training provider I would like to deal with The dispensation is simply lip service for the sake of this review - I sent trainfitness an email saying I d had surgery At no point was this brought up or come to think of it did you even ask how I was at any point of the process Simple questions Trainfitness - what surgery did I have What was my recovery like Have I recovered yet These are the kind of questions you ask when working out special circumstances You could not care less You simply stated the T C s and how much you could make It is true I have trained with them before - fortunately I didnt need surgery during any of my previous courses so there were no service charges

Do not bother with this if you are thinking of learning remotely The information is confusing there are no tutors to ask for advice and the people that do respond to tickets are incredibly unhelpful and I have to say actually quite rude Very disappointed with the experience and deeply regret giving them my money

Incredibly shocked by their lack of compassion and understanding
I started this course in July Sadly my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer the same month We are now in November and I have not made any progress as my mother has been given weeks to live Train Fitness will not provide even a partial refund which is unbelievable during a time like this They extended my end of course date but don t seem to understand that It is impossible for me to complete the course with the circumstances I am under Incredibly shocked by their lack of compassion and understanding
