"We were a little sceptical about the "

We were a little sceptical about the Trusted Housesitters model however our neighbours highly recommended them to us and so we took the plunge It all went perfectly for a very last minute booking as I only put the sit up 48 hours before departure We only had a phone call with the sitter and all worked perfectly My only recommendation would not to be so last minute as us and give at least a weeks notice

"5 year dual subscription members"

We ve had multiple couples and singles stay at our house through TrustedHousesitters and we couldn t be more pleased with the process We have been dual hosts sitters since 2018 although we ve only done one sit due to time constraints The app issimple and efficient and the people who have stayed and our one sit have been outstanding We have found that retired couples are more likely to go the extra mile appreciate our city respect our home and love our pet We want them to feel connected and confident while they are staying in our home and community so the first night we stay in our home with them take them out to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants and give them a brief driving tour of the city The app provides for a detailed instruction guide for the home including expectations querks and fun things to do In the past when we have used quality kennels pets have returned home un-potty trained dirty and exposed to whatever illnesses kennel cough or whatever and bad habits from hired caregivers and other animals Our pet has thoroughly enjoyed our TrustedHousesitters and has thrived in their care We have also paid neighbors and friends to care for our dog in our home which can get very expensive We are confident in the background checks and the liability coverage that the TrustedHousesitters subscription provides We also FaceTime with sitters before they are confirmed We are careful to leave reviews and depend on applicants reviews to choose sitters that are a good fit for us We have never been disappointed

I was quite doubtful to be honest but having had house sitters twice I am delighted It s a win win all around Pets stay home sitters have a lovely stay Apart from needing to tidy in advance I ve no hesitation lol

"I have appreciated opportunity being "

I have appreciated opportunity being part of TrustedHousesitters has given me To date I have completed 4 sits and have another booked for later next year The only issue I would have is when an home owner does not choose you for their sit there is typically no reason provided I could understand after an interview of sorts and you are not chosen but without any direct contact not being chosen and not hearing back why does not help with preparing to apply for the next sit

"Fabulous service"

Fabulous service Our first time using THS and would definitely recommend and use again Our sitters were lovely and cared for our menagerie as if they were their own - we got regular updates and I m sure the animals had a holiday as much as we did The app is easy to use and despite initial concerns about a stranger being in your house I can honestly say that this disappeared within moments of meeting our sitters Five stars and would highly recommend

"We are loving our THS journey "

We are currently on our 14th sit this year facilitated via THS and have 7 more bookings for early 24 and each and every one has been a wonderful experience It s really important for both pet parents and sitters to find their best-fit so we study ad wording photos and reviews check out the area ask questions about the pets and their routines then do a video chat if everything feels right We never accept a sit during the video call as don t want anyone to feel under any pressure and prefer for pet parents to make a considered decision rather than an emotive one We also like to consider things following the video call but make a prompt response once a sit is offered We ve only encountered problems once before commencement of the sit where we discovered a pet parent had failed to disclose significant ill-health issues of one of the the dogs this contravenes THS T Cs but refused to release us from the sit currently only pet parents can cancel except in extraordinary circumstances THS Member Services promptly intervened and came to our rescue In short our experience as sitters had been fabulous we ve met generous intetesting warm and welcoming pet parents have stayed in some stunning properties in beautiful locations and - most importantly for us - have enjoyed caring for some totally wonderful animals all of whom have been a real joy to spend time with We love being Trusted Housesitters

This is a great business model and because it is based on trust and reviews from both sides just like Airbnb it works really well There is a lot of support too whether you are sitter or owner Highly recommend

It s nice to know that even with short notice TH comes thru Of course living in a popular urban area helps to attract lots of interested travelers A friend recommended TH earlier this year when I had to go to a conference so I tried out the service and liked it so much I was relieved to anticipate being covered for the three other conferences I had to attend during the year Thanks TH

"Great house-sitting experience"

We have been travelling and house-sitting as a family for 9 months now Half of our stays are through trustedhousesitters and half by other means mainly facebook groups so I can compare and see the benefit of using this service First of all there is enough information about the sits both through the data the owners provide and past sitters review I also feel safe that there is insurance and vet advice if needed I haven t needed it yet but its really important to know there is someone to consult as serious situations can happen with pets without it being anybody s fault I also like the forum and the ability to connect with like-minded people
