"THS gives repeated abuser a pass"

We thought we had found the solution to a big problem pet care during travel THS seemed so optimistic and innovative with a community of people who just want to help each other and enjoy life My husband and I accepted a sitter who posed as a sweet woman but ended up neglecting our dogs by locking them in bedrooms and bathrooms for hours on end We came back from our WEDDING holiday to a house saturated in urine from the neglect And next another homeowner reported in their review of this particular sitter that their cat passed away under her care because she refused to give the proper medications and follow daily routines My interaction with THS customer service was extremely slow and resulted in NOTHING to get this abuser off the platform She abused my dogs and caused a premature death of a cat If THS is this desperate to keep people on the platform that they ll excuse neglect and literal 3rd degree murder of someones fur baby then how can it actually be TRUSTED house sitters i am terrified

"Charged with 200 for nothing"

Charged with 200 for nothing Only got a few unqualified candidates and NONE of them actually followed through so I was let in the air before a big international trip After speaking with customer service they were very non customer service oriented did not want to refund any money and even refused to downgrade me to the lower plan and give back the difference Do not trust this site

Being a pet sitter on here is useless Why pay for a membership on here when every time I try to apply to a pet sit I can t because a owner is reviewing applications after having their add up for only 10 mins You don t see this until you pay for a membership

"I never was able to find a sitter any "

I never was able to find a sitter any time I wanted one The sitters were all too concerned with getting foreign holidays out of this service and not interested in sitting for me A waste of money and a rip off at that This app got 1 year subscription from me for nothing I won t be renewing it again

"Trusted Housesitters claim that they have an insurance policy but beware"

Trusted Housesitters claim that they have an insurance policy for your home and contents Unfortunately our house sitter flooded our bathroom causing damage The process which you have to go through is to call your own home insurance company and request they decline any claim whereupon Trusted Sitters say that their policy will step in When i spoke to my insurers they say that they cannot decline a claim as they have a policy with us and they would be in breach of this should they decline So i went back to Trusted House Sitters and they say they can t do anything to help and their insurance is a last resort Their insurance policy is therefore a complete farce

"Very bad I am very disappointed"

Unfortunately I had the worst experience with the sit Izabel she bring into my home 2 friends that it s not allowed she didn t want to let my Housekeeper clean her room and decided what to clean I am the owner and I decided her hair it s all over of my house so I did arrive with a mess and very tired I needed to clean all her stuff never more Please take a look on her profile she should not be here

"A waste of time and money"

We purchased a full annual membership but never had any value We had two occasions where we were totally let down by the sitter and the homeowner that it put us off completely The first was a sitter for our cat who at last minute pulled out due to family commitments The second was us booking house sitting whilst visiting the US and who again pulled out last minute On both occasions there was not enough time choice to make alternative arrangements with no recourse from THS We will not be choosing this service renewing our membership and would absolutely not recommend

Became money hungry recently This platform used to be great but for the past 12 months they have been trying to hard to make it as bad as possible First to make more profits they forced their policy of overleaping which means you cannot apply for sits that overleaps even it was overleaping by 1-2 days You will see a reply below from them using the execuse that this was for the interests of pets which I gurantee you they are lying simply because they will tell you to signup for a new account to be able to apply for overleaping sits Second they forced the maximum 5 applications that a house owner can recieve that means the fastest will get the to apply for a sit and the house owner will see the first 5 applicants who apply and will not be able to choose the best sitter to take care of their pet You will see a reply below from them using the execuse this will give more opportunities to everyone Again lying as the real reason is recruit more sitters in the platformThird fake sit cancellation insurance for sitters The sitters will have to go through hell to claim the fake insurance they advertise that you would be covered in case a house owner cancelled the sit last minute or they came back early You don t believe me Ok go to their community forum and check your self and see how the claimants go through a process ranges from at least 1 to 9 months to claim back their expenses they forced to use as a result of a sit cancellation See their community forums Sitters are not paid to do house sits yet they are being treated like children by trusted house sitters moderators and product managers They are 100 into profit and they absloutely do not care about the sitters who made their website deserves the word TRUSTED Not anymore

"Trusted House Sitters is amazing until you have a problem"

Trusted House Sitters is amazing until something goes wrong I m not sure why you pay a fee when they offer no support for emergencies issues Our sitter abandoned our dogs and Trusted House Sitters said We suggest having a neighbor or someone else available in these situations We live in the country and we wouldn t have a sitter if we had anyone else Our dogs and brand new puppy were left alone for 8 hours they are only alone for 2 hours at the most We came home from our flight as fast as we could but our poor dogs had pottied everywhere in our house and our puppy left unsupervised and out of the crate Also they will not help or cover any damages to your home they tell you to talk to the sitter yourself

"Sitters can let you down"

Sitters have reviews but there is no opportunity to review them if they simply let you down and don t house sit at all So there s no public record of them being unreliable Trustedhousesitters will say that they take cancellations very seriously but as they have set up their system so that it doesn t capture the fact that someone has let you down you have to cancel the booking and start again even though it wasn t your fault they have no way of even knowing how unreliable people can be Unlike eBay for instance where it s completely obvious if someone doesn t pay Be warned
