What an amazing experience it was volunteering with IVHQ in Ubud Bali as a teacher The whole process was smooth and easy made me feel safe and informed before during and after my program The local organization made sure the volunteers as well as the children were really involved and that the experience was impactful for both parties I cannot wait for the next one

The Program Guide prepares you well so it is important to review it My program manager was so helpful and kind whenever I had questions or concerns For the experience itself it was an amazing opportunity that I won t forget Well organized and they try their best to accommodate any of your preferences but my personal approach was remaining flexible because you are there to help and not there to be waited on by the local staff who already work so hard With that approach I feel I was able to immerse myself into the culture and work more efficiently

Volunteering is a valuable and transformative experience that not only helps you grow personally but also changes your perspective on the world It is an investment in yourself and in the community a decision that pays off in many ways If you have the opportunity to volunteer don t hesitate It will enrich you and leave a lasting impact

Traveling solo to Cordoba Argentina felt both exciting and scary as a young woman Thankfully as soon as I got their my host family was incredibly welcoming and I instantly felt like family I spent four weeks at my placement which went by so quickly Overall the culture of Argentina was very friendly patient with Spanish learners and very busy with a lot of different experiences to explore My placement in the healthcare program was exactly as I was expecting The whole team at the local hospital was eager to have me shadow their nursing team and doctors I completed vitals minor wound care under the guidance of the nurses and bandaging I felt comfortable the entire time and learned a lot about a new culture My experience felt like a full immersion into Spanish which is what I was looking for

Volunteering on the childcare program in Luang Prabang Laos was the most enriching experience I have ever had IVHQ are fantastic at guiding you step by step through all the planning The local team on arrival were simply fantastic Can t wait to book again

I m not sure where to begin to describe this incredibly life-changing experience I had an incredible time in Guatemala My volunteer placement host family local team the friends I made and the cultural activities were all aspects that exceeded my expectations What an incredible way to immerse yourself in a new culture while giving back to the local community I m particularly thankful to the kids I taught classes to - I thought I would be teaching them but they were the real teachers teaching me to have fun and enjoy the little things in life All of this would not have been possible without IVHQ s support Their guidance was truly valuable in ensuring the preparation period and the trip went smoothly I can now join the comment pool and say Go for it The only problem is that you will not want to leave Guatemala

The International Volunteer HQ program is well-designed allowing you to help the community while learning about the culture exploring new places and making new friends You will receive support throughout every step of the process and you will always be guided in a safe environment Both the IVHQ staff and the local team were extremely supportive throughout the entire project from start to finish The accommodation was more than perfect What I liked most about it was the hospitality of the host family they were truly welcoming and friendly We had the opportunity to learn about the culture try authentic local food and make new friends While volunteering with IVHQ I believe we made a meaningful impact on the diverse community we worked with as reflected in the genuine smiles that lit up their faces and the heartfelt gratitude they expressed showing that they felt truly heard and cared for I highly recommend this program to anyone

My experience with IVHQ in Palawan Philippines was nothing short of amazing Through completing the environmental program with the local team I truly felt that I made a positive impact whilst also being able to connect with the fellow volunteers and locals in the area Additionally the process went smoothly and the accommodation meals provided was exactly like what it stated on the IVHQ website

My volunteer experience was great From day 1 the local team was very attentive to my arrival and my needs even before arriving in the country they were very kind I should mention that the other volunteers also helped me develop in the country and get to know the culture My medical volunteer experience helped me not only connect with people but also improve my skills as a doctor and have more humanity in my profession The local team and my coordinator were always attentive to me it felt like a family every day was a new experience that I will take with me It was definitely a very nice experience and I am grateful to the team and the coordinators not only did I learn about a new country and its customs but I also took away a better development as a doctor and a lot of love for the country

I was very excited to embark on my second solo volunteer trip The resources IVHQ provide reassured me that the initial stages of planning my trip would be seamless and they were Once I arrived in Cordoba Argentina I was greeted by my host family and met the other volunteers some of who would soon become great friends of mine The accommodation and meals were wonderful and my program on the farm was fantastic It was an adventure of a lifetime and I m so glad I got to experience it
