Not a good value for money

I had been driving in India for over 9 years and took about 8 practice sessions Failed the test I then changed the instructor took 2 sessions and passed with 5 minors They failed to spot my weaknesses during 8 sessions Also to my surprise advised me to follow a 4 hour session just before the test pure money minting I would not recommended 5Day co uk to re-freshers specially the ones who know how to drive but struggle to follow understand UK road rules My recommendation would be to go with an instructor who values your money

I did a week intensive driving course

I did a week intensive driving course with 5 day Unfortunately I failed The driving instructor agreed to more lessons at a charge which is fine He has ignored all of my texts and phone calls they don t want to know you when you have failed very annoyed and upset by this I would recommend anyone to go with a different driving school

Would not recommend

Would not recommend my son had previously passed his theory test but still had to sit through lessons with 5day he paid 930 and only got 20 hours of driving lessons with an estimated value of 500 on the last day 5day said he wasn t ready for his test and his instructor was fully booked for more lessons so he would have to pay 35 p h and use another instructor Very poor Chris Bristol

Honestly and absolute waste of time

Honestly and absolute waste of time Did my lessons in March 2020 and we went into lockdown that week I passed my theory but heard nothing back from 5 day after contacting them many times about booking for my practical test No measures in place for actually putting learners through there test just a money making scheme 1000 down the drain In answer to your reply I have rung the company numerous times over the past year and got no help what so ever but will be sure to put everything in an email next time as the company also seems unable to take notes from phone calls

Andy Honda jazz 5 stars

2 stars is a reflection of 5 day they re rubbish and promise quick bookings of test when you do get a test you only get 2 days notice It s made out to be a 5 day course however I did my course in December and have only just passed in November 11 months later I had to do extra lessons and it turned out to be nearly 2000 not the initial 1200 as advertised I did pass first time tho with my instructor there called Andy with the Honda jazz I couldn t recommend him enough he gets 5 stars from me Edit - My boyfriend has used my account hence the name Hannah but it was Manchester test centre

Chelmsford Branch

Course tutor was nice I enjoyed the theory side of things However on my first day my instructor fell asleep in the passenger seat and dropped his clip board whilst I was driving Scary experience for a 17 year old who has never drove a car before It got brushed off and given a new instructor and nothing more was said about it Ended up doing more hours with an independent driving instructor which was much preferred If your learning from scratch 5 day is not the one got you

Very misleading

Very misleading Booked this for my son in Chelmsford booking ref CH-JDM16 who was desperate to get driving but never had the time around college for lessons He already had his theory test so we accepted that he d have to sit through lessons that weren t required He breezed through the weeks driving as he already had driving experience But by the end of the week he was advised that he wasn t test ready We were shocked by this but accepted that we aren t the professionals Conveniently his instructor could offer extra lessons for additional cost After a few extra lessons he was signed off as test ready We d already booked a test with the DVLA but 5day told us to cancel this test as they d get him a cancellation much quicker As the cost of the course includes the car for the test we willingly did what was advised We paid the money for the test and waiting for a call Weeks went past and we heard nothing I tried to chase the test only to be told they won t discuss the matter due to GPDR even though my son was under 18 I d paid for everything and my contact details were on everything My teenage son eventually phoned in only to be told he was 27th on the wait list After 6 weeks waiting Another month passed and he got to 22nd on the list Whilst I appreciate it is a bit of a mess trying to get a driving test 5Day completely mislead you into saying they ll get a test quickly We eventually booked the test ourselves again and used a tracking app to get a cancellation only 2 weeks after booking the test ourselves My son was lucky to have the option to take the test in his own car which made things much easier When we phoned 5Day to get a refund on the driving test my son was still 15th on the wait list This was 3 months after his original course After speaking to another friend who s son was on a more recent course they are still doing the same Everyone needs extra lessons and no one ever gets a test Whilst the concept and the instructors are good the course is floored as they simply can t get the tests but do not tell you this at booking So we paid for a theory test we didn t need and the hire of the car and a extra pre-test lesson that we couldn t get I also believe the cost of this course has also now gone up Very misleading

Started well

Started well Goodish course Then all down hill I was without a car for 3 days the instructor then lied about the make up hours so I lost tuition I was then ment to receive monies back for this but nope I had an hours tuition in the new car before a test I had no clue where certain controls where and just told to ignore them My instructor quit the week before a test and I was basically told to suck it up nothing they can do take the test in your own car which k couldn t do as didn t have one at the time Still owed a refund fo missed tuition car hire and test refund Not holding my breath

I m really struggling with this one if

I m really struggling with this one if I am honest because I attended a Bristol course nearly 7 months ago The theory and practice in the car was brilliant Both class room and car instructors was brilliant and I came along way with the driving and passed my theory first time I booked my test soon after and am still waiting for a test I came to you as explained because I needed to do this fast and was told on the phone your are 100 the fastest way to book a test by your team I have had freinds that has failed practicall test managed to rebook and then pass in this time 7 months and still no date given Something needs to be done as I spent a lot of Money on this course as I needed my licence for a job opening which has now been taken from me due to the wait HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED thanksReply to my reply This is obviously a poor set up of communication as 9 have spoken to your team several times ragarding this matter

Stick to the old way

Way to expensive for what you actually get I paid around 1750 over all for 5 days of theory and practical driving after the 5 days 5Day effectively went quiet on me for the best part of 7 months no lessons no conversation nothing to then give me a free half an hour before my test date to drive it really isn t worth the money you are 10000 better sticking to the other way of getting passed i wish i didEdit My reply to 5Days reply the reason they didn t hear from me is because we could never arrange a time for a 1 hour free lesson because the driving instructors only work from 10 am till 4 pm and obviously I m working during that time but 1 and a half hours of driving in 8 months doesn t scream helpful Also you get fast tracked but 8 months doesn t sound so fast I have felt this way for months the review has nothing to do with my results
