1 Order not received since placing on 8 1 24 It is now Thurs Feb 1st 2 Tried to track via my account but guess what they have deleted my account 3 Absolutely no way of contacting anybody about this They only have social media for contact I do not subscribe to any social media 4 My experience todate leads me to believe they are a fraudulent outfit PAY MORE AND GET YOUR BOOKS FROM A PROPER BOOKSELLER

Ordered 5 books from different sellers on 17th December 2023 Received all except from a seller called Far Corners Tracking details were given but say awaiting collection Seller isn t interested repeatedly stating It should arrive shortly but not giving any further tracking details Even with the 30day refund policy the website will not let me claim a refund Beware of buying any books from Far Corner Europe - Companies House shows one Director based in the US This is a dodgy company and AbeBooks have next to zero customer service Never again

Ordered a book and deliberately chose a seller approximately 50 miles from my home because I wanted to ensure delivery before I travelled abroad to visit my son who the book was for Book was eventually dispatched from the USA and arrived after I had gone abroad Contacted customer services for a refund who reply stating that they are looking into it and then disappear Followed up multiple times and get the same response- it s like they ve never seen my previous requests Dreadful service - avoid

I m not surprised this outfit gets such a poor rating One star is overgenerous Order has not arrived No response to 2 enquiries If you go to the website you will find yourself going round in circles with no way of speaking to any one who can help I ve resigned myself to losing my money and like so many others my advice is to avoid Abe books entirely

Don t recommend using this site it s an oasis for scammers Got an incorrect item sent - ordered a book and received a set of audio CDs who even uses CDs nowadays No refund after 2 weeks from return refund request Customer services sent some generic stupid responses unrelated to the actual case and further they just ignore my emails

Be careful when choosing paid 2 - 3 day delivery postage or free up to 12 days delivery time I opted for paid postage on my purchase but it clearly stated on my order delivery time of one week so I needn t have paid postage costs in the first place I cancelled my order straight away and this appears to have been accepted

I bought two books about Tunisian crochet that basically were a rip off They were supposed to be pattern books and they were just a bound bunch of poor quality photocopies and one of them didn t even had a single pattern When I requested a refund and complained to one of the books supplier they were really rude and told me they sent what I ordered Also they force you to pay for a tracked shipping to get a refund which I find very unfair given that I am complaining about the quality of their products So I ended up spending half of the cost for the so called books Don t buy anything here unless you know you are not being ripped off by a selfpublishing pirate

I ve been happy with the service to date but now something has gone very very wrong I purchased a book and paid Delivery was to be by FedEx FedEx says they have delivered the book but the postcode delivered to is completely different to mine I ve written but no answer

Came here to buy books only to have my orders cancelled a few days later on two separate occasions Sellers are obviously making listings that they can t fulfill for some reason you can probably guess what they re up to but who knows Can t leave negative feedback since the orders are cancelled so they get 5 ratings despite being sketchy and unreliable Don t waste your time

Never again I purchased a very expensive 350 medical manual from AbeBooks and it was then outsourced to their supplier in this case ThriftBooks After the wrong book was sent TWICE I attempted to cancel the order and get a refund as it had been determined this book was actually out of print Getting this refund was nearly impossible and I had to resort to putting in a dispute through the credit card There are NO actual people you can talk to in Customer Service It is all online messaging AbeBooks said it is not our problem it is the supplier ThriftBooks said AbeBooks takes care of the end of things and it is not our problem Had to escalate this up several times and over a month later I was able to get a refund Only deal with companies where you can actually speak to a service representative All the nice little notes I got back from Jennifer or whoever in customer service were actually computer generated letters Never again Deal with Amazon who will refund immediately if there is a problem
