COMPLETE and UTTER SCAM

Utter Crap We had a roof leak the adjuster told us we needed the contractor to call when he did the initial evaluation He did It was going to be an estimated 1100 00 We were given the go ahead and the repair estimate was 2600 Long story short it was found to be an installation issue And yes the very fine print does say they don t cover it Reality is despite the brochures and the information they give to the realtors they deal with They do not cover anything My realtor was absolutely appalled as they had told her this type of issue was covered Save the money and take it to Vegas You have a better chance at being covered Update Contacted them again to resolve the 1100 00 initial promise they miss quoted the transcript ignoring the rep clearly stating he is approving the initial 1100 00 When asked for a copy of the transcript of the call I was told they don t provide them because it is against company policy If you already have them record all conversations Not only will they scam you they will then deny statements they have made I had myself and my contractor on the line and both of us heard the confirmation COMPLETE and UTTER SCAM

APHW are not a reliable partners

They say don t worry about breakdowns but will leave you stranded with a simple reply Your Claim cannot be approved I live in Michigan My furnace broke just about when winter was starting Their response was they can t approve my claim I ended up replacing my furnace all by myself I wish there was a possibility to give a 0 rating Please don t opt for APHW They will be quick in prompt replacement for small devices which cost less than your annual premium Please do not rely on them for big equipment like furnaces or HVAC They will leave you stranded

PLEASE CANCEL MY COVERAGE IMMEDIATELY To say that I am disgusted and disappointed with APHW is an absolute understatement We have been loyal customers for many years and have paid thousands of dollars into this home warranty company that is nothing but a scam Today I had my built in double wall oven throw an error message and I was able to get a technician to come to my house and assess the repair Received the diagnostics and after spending about 35 minutes on the phone was told by the APHW representative that I was eligible for 300 for my repair minus my 125 deductible The repair estimate was 850 How is this a home warranty company It s an absolute racket and a complete waste of money They need to be reported to the BBB and attorney general s office in every state where they do business Avoid this company for anything

Total waste of time and money

Echoing the other reviewers prior to me This company is a total scam and stay away from them They pay absolutely nothing I filed a claim on refrigerator and they took multiple follow-ups even to simply review the claim After several efforts they came back and said the parts and services are not covered They even refused to pay the inspection fee to diagnose the issue Absolute scam and a total waste of money I would stay away from this company like a plague

BUYERS BEWARE - I Don t Recommend

My garage door drive belt failed due to age wear and tear Policy stated it covers the garage door drive mechanism as well as the chain Claim was denied because they only cover chains not drive belts They both do the exact same thing only a drive belt is much quieter Furthermore the drive belt is part of the garage door drive mechanism Without a functioning intact drive belt the door does not move unless you lift or lower it manually In spite of trying to explain this the company refused to change their decision as they only cover chains and not belts in spite of them both serving the exact same function So BUYERS BEWARE - this company will not apply common sense and logic when evaluating a claim They will stick to the EXACT wording in their warranty policy brochure

Poor service

Absolutely horrible experience No contractor wants to work with this company and the service guy I got charged me high Company does not approve the entire service amount and we will have to call multiple times to get documents thro I was not paid bcos the replacements was not done by licensed contractor but I didn t use them as they charge high service charges What a waste of time not customer friendly would not recommend to anyone

APHW will not Pay

If i could i would put a negative 5 stars The oven is supposed to be covered As of inspection it was working Oven failed and we called contractor as instructed Contractor stated oven failed and no replacement parts are available due to partial serial model number and age of oven range America s Preferred Home Warranty will not cover replacement nor pay the contractor for diagnosis as our contract specifies They keep saying give us an estimate for replacement parts Per the contractor NO parts are available for this unit the oven range has to be replaced America s Preferred will not pay for anything Total Scam

THIS COMPANY DOES NOT REFUND THEY KEEP YOUR MONEY STAY AWAY

This company does not honor their refund policy It s been a 3 month battle with the company to get me my refund Their excuse is I don t store credit card information so you need to give us your credit card info but when I explain that my card was replaced with a new one they say I need a letter from you bank stating the old card was replaced but what they don t realize is that banks don t store old card information let alone for them to state they replaced the old one for a new This company is a total SCAM
