Bad customer service

I bought a washing machine that I waited happily for for two months By the time it had arrived I had forgotten that it states the machine has to be outside the building ready for collection I had paid extra for two men to collect the old machine unwrap new machine and put it in the room where it needed to be which was great as my husband has a slipped disc So in my head I was set up I received mails the day before to remind me I had to leave old machine outside disconnected but I I didn t read these mails till the morning when it was too late Also there were a lot of emails coming through from the company The delivery driver was incredibly unhelpful as he pointed to the water tap that hadn t been disconnected and yes I was angry without boring you with details both delivery drivers left without taking the old one away By the way you don t need two delivery drivers to deliver one machine I asked for the privilege as thought it was a good idea maybe if the machine went upstairs that would be different I asked customer service to come back and take old machine away but they would charge me 49 As the machine worked anyway I then asked them to collect new machine and take it away there was a cost of 49 Having said all this they do answer the phone quickly and they do phone you back quickly So I m now left with two machines in a room in the middle of the floor useless

Terrible customer service I ordered a Neff induction hob M70 80cm

I ordered a Neff induction hob M70 80cm 5 zone in Black from the Appliance Shop Sale No 100024487 on 22 2 2024 It was a very good price the best price I could find so a star for that It arrived quickly as quoted a star for that It was checked on arrival and appeared to be fine However at installation the seal around the hob was broken in two places I contacted The Appliance Shop there response was that this happened a lot with this hob and my fitters would sort it out with some stuff when I asked what this stuff was they just said to ask the fitters So absolutely no help offered So I rang Neff customer services who were really helpful They said this was not a common problem with this hob and sent me out the correct seal within days so my install was not delayed So they were fantastic So great price great delivery but terrible customer service And no you didn t offer to call Neff as you suggest in your reply

Poor aftercare - not our problem - check your T Cs

Discovered via a web search Initial experience good was called about the ordered item not being in stock Good to deal with and kept informed Item Rangemaster kitchen splashback eventually arrived and stored without opening A month later came to install and opened the undamaged box Found to have cosmetic issues and defects that prevent installation Called the appliance shop and was quickly told it was not their problem and that I should contact Rangemaster They stated their T Cs say it has to be reported within 48 hours That old chestnut Not made obvious during purchase Extremely disappointing customer service So if you buy and everything s great you will have a good experience with this company However don t expect any after are

Dubious selling practices

Dubious selling practices Tried to buy a hob that showed in stock Then told the company who supply it will not deal with them anymore and offered 3 equivalent hobs which really were inferior I then checked their website and the hob I wanted was still for sale only now it was 70 more When I questioned them the reply was we ve put it up to deter people from ordering it If you re not able to supply it then remove it from your website Anyway cancelled the order and a quick refund was issued but still leaves a bad taste in the mouth Very poor indeed

Disappointing disingenuous

Disappointing disingenuous Tried to buy a hob that showed in stock I was able to select a delivery date from the website Within a few hours of order the company called to tell me that they didn t have the item in stock and it would need to be ordered in They said it would take another 5 days on top of my original delivery I requested an alternative as I have my joiner booked in to fit the kitchen They then requested I pay an extra delivery charge to get it straight from the supplier instead of them covering the cost to deliver it on time to me as already confirmed on my email Requested cancellation of the order and refund Would rather get it from somewhere else who can fulfil their agreement with customers Will await to see how quick the refund is

Delivery driver bad service

Very easy to deal with and competitively priced Received the initial email stating deliver date and info that we would be contacted the day before it was delivered with a time of delivery We did not receive the email with a delivery time and although I was at home the delivery was attempted at 13 00 I called the office and spoke to a very nice man who sorted the delivery to arrive soon after Now this is where things go wrong The older of the two delivery men was very nice and chatty the other one never spoke until he said I have to take your picture I said no thank you and he replied that if I didn t let him take my picture he would remove the dryer back to the shop I told him to help himself as I didn t want a photo taking thank you He said well i have too and continue to aim the camera at me He had taken photos of the dryer in situ I further refused He then called the office and asked me for identification Ok I was in my house and they had my money he said it was to stop fraud mmm I got my ID and showed him then he said this is not the same first name No it was my husband who paid for it Eventually he went away I think the company need to be careful Demanding photos and how they keep and store them Hope that all data protection requirements are in place So for me and a couple of other people previous reviews The delivery driver soured my experience with this company

Purchased a Neff Integrated dishwasher

Purchased a Neff Integrated dishwasher on Thursday 28th June which was very competitively priced at 599 Comparable shops online were selling at 699 so we feel we got a very competitive price Sales service was superb hassle free and delivery arranged for the Monday 1st June We received great communication confirming delivery time slot and had a phone call from the driver saying he was on his way I asked him to deliver into our kitchen which had really easy access and that my daughter was at home to receive the delivery Upon arrival the driver dropped the dishwasher on the driveway outside the kitchen door and informed my daughter the dishwasher wouldn t fit through the door and he was unwilling to unpackage the item to get it into the house My daughter rang me panicking that the driver had left the dishwasher outside She cancelled her plans for the afternoon as she was afraid to leave it unattended and I said I would sort it when I got home from work When I returned after work the dishwasher easily came through the door but clearly the driver wasn t intending to make any effort to lift it into the house I assume this is because it was a one man delivery service Whilst this was easily dealt with a great transaction was intimately let down by an unhelpful delivery driver otherwise it would have been a 5 star rating

Jekyll Hyde organisation

We purchased a Fridge Freezer and the service was first class with the delivery made exactly as scheduled We then paid a second visit to purchase a washing machine The staff were slow to serve us and showed little interest when we asked about the price for a particular washer we had seen on line elsewhere cheaper They looked it up and claimed to have no stock and just handed us back our paperwork There was no attempt to help us select another machine similar to the one we had asked about The lack of service meant we walked out and ordered from another supplier on line who delivered free of charge This supplier also had run out of stock but supplied the next model up at the same price after they telephoned to confirm this was okay

Product and delivery date changes

Initially couldn t provide the product we had ordered website said would be delivered 7th December We accepted an alternative equivalent for which we had to pay extra We were given the delivery date as today 19th December Rung up as we had not received any text to say what time it would arrive and they say they will aim to deliver within 3 days We have made arrangements around the information given so it is very disappointing Communication should be clearer for example listing the original product as out of stock and writing dispatch date rather than delivery date on communications UpdateThe product did arrive next day so I ve upgraded star rating In response to Michael Yes it was explained on the phone when we rang to chase but I don t recall prior I didnt have any issues with you on the phone you were always friendly and helpful It s really simple changes to written communication that s needed as described above I relied on written details to make arrangements with installers which other people may do too so might be worth taking on board

Not great

Website says items are available with free delivery but when you try to order in this case an induction hob the order won t go through When you phone up apparently free courier delivery is only over 300 but surprise surprise they don t actually have the item in stock and have no idea when they might be able to get it
