I am not sure how I can give more stars Our experience of purchasing this property has been well not easy The lack of communication between departments in Barratts as well as the lack of comms to us I voiced my opinion to the sales manager who said she would get back to me with answers that was about a month ago We hve been here a week and I feel I am the one who will need to chase Barratts can work on getting the customer service better I work in the hospitality industry and what I have experienced need alot of work I am sure the snag list will get sorted it is just the service level I will be curious about

The sales persons are only interested getting the property reserved Once reserved they put you under tremendous pressure mentioning 42 days They e mailed me stating if it is not ready for exchange by 42 days it will be cancelled Not sure what they are trying to do whether they want happy customer or put them under a lot of pressure and cancel the reservation

I am not happy dealing with different people and being pushed a lot learning one day it is white next day it is black It makes me so confused And this is not easy issues cost me additional 30k I did not know while agreeing there is a condition deadline for my offer which caused me lots of stress I did cancel my reservation in the end

Their Approach to customer service seems to be we will ignore all questions we don t like I ask them a simple question about my property and they just ignore it I ask them a question about being more helpful during an emergency fault that their building has developed and they ignore me They don t care is the impression I get once we give them our money they clap their hands and say job done

I moved into the Hesketh detached home build by Barratt homes in August 2023 Soon after We noticed that one could hear someone using flushing or running water in the downstairs toilet from the living Whatever told Barratt home it was a good idea for a living room to share a wall with a toilet beats me I raised this issue with the after sales team a sound proof was put on one of the walls of the toilet but the issue still persists I have again raised the issue and the response is we have gone above and beyond the house was built to specification and nothing more to do This is now our home and they except me to live like this The specification is wrong It s not nice to have visitors in the living room one of them goes to use the cloakroom and everyone in the living room hears everything going on in the toilet as clear as a bell How is this acceptable

Nearly all electrical fittings are loose front door poorly fitted and was badly fitted allowing in water Kitchen drawers and doors not closing properly and told it needs to wear in by the gentleman who cam round to not fix it Garden is extremely waterlogged and still awaiting the landscapers to rectify that

Love the house bad experience so far We are in the middle of a purchase but have experienced awful communication with the onsite team no trust in the process or the onsite staff Keys lost locks changed offer details missing visits cancelled last minute staff not even sure how to send a teams meeting When spending so much of your salary on a house you would expect the service to be a great experience I cannot say it has been that and we still have a way to go Looking forward to being over the other side and completing

When I visited on 7th July I was told the house was 270k but after a few days when made the reservation I was told to pay a deposit of 5 of 275k They claimed today that the sales team had been in contact with me to address the concern I raised but unsure which number they ve called on but no one has called me yet

The quality of these homes is so inferior for the money you pay after 18 months of moving into one they are still repairing fixing issues from water leaking to mould and various other things that should be working well Most of the new flats and house owners in the area are complaining of the same Also the way they chase you after customer surveys is very tricky promising fixes and support in return for positive feedback which leads me to believe that the actual reviews recommendation rates are not accurate I wished I had known all these before buying Just read their online reviews on the internet and will give you an idea

Daughter bought a new build got the keys today No flooring down Sales team report they somehow forgot to order it but they ll look into it next week Everything is arranged for them to move in tomorrow Incredibly disappointment a huge let down I really expected better from Barratt Homes
