Less pay for the employees

No doubt this is an excellent for the employers but not great for the employees The travelling time wasn t calculated on a live basic or not even according to Google map It is cut short substantially and part of the actual travelling time part has been translated into waiting time which was not paid for Most carers are on minimum wages already We all have to work extra hours after waiting time was introduced This is obviously an advantage for the employer so they can pay us less

Birdie is one of the worst care apps

Birdie is one of the worst care apps I ve used Too many actions required for too few outcomes Any app that requires video training and booklet to understand is not a good app It has no intuitive qualities It s impossible to edit and in my opinion wholly inappropriate for the kind of care work we undertake

Not so good as people said

the new version of Birdie is horrible to get to the medication section the steps have doubled also for daily tasks it was better before when these 2 sections were separated they still appear as they were in unscheduled visits Also for Live in care it is difficult to set the schedule we work 24 24 and 7 out of 7 we don t have visit schedules

Annoying and poor support service

Really annoyed right now as this business of not being able to speak to someone for support is frustrating me I have been having issues since onboarding and when I try to speak to someone for support all I have are chats and screenshots which doesn t help If I was able to navigate by myself to resolve my issues I wouldn t bother reaching out I would just use the guides Not enjoying the monies worth A lot of wasted time that s unpaid Very frustrating

It would be good if you could provide

It would be good if you could provide space for the families of those cared for to make notes about the carer visits to include anything that the carers have missed out

Birdie used to confirm visit every week

Birdie used to confirm visit every week but now it s no longer showing it s only saying no visits confirmed until my payday and thus wrong

Birdie care app is not as good as

Birdie care app is not as good as advertised The system has more technical errors than solutions The whole of October have been having issues till now This was not the case last Year I find it very frustrating since they introduced AI assistant it seems we have more problems than before When trying to work and you have to spend close to half a day trying to solve issues
