Working with California Coast Credit
Working with California Coast Credit Union during my overseas travel is an absolute nightmare They purport to have well rounded service with statements such as Our mission is to simplify the lives of our members or Cal Coast has easy and convenient online and mobile banking options that let you bank from anywhere From someone who is trying to utilize their banking services overseas from Thailand these statements are simply utterly incorrect My life has become more complicated You cannot login to your bank account anywhere unless you spoof your location with a VPN When I needed to obtain a debit card replacement to withdraw funds I had to call them at 1AM to 4 AM Thailand time multiple times to communicate with multiple representatives who gave contradicting information about how and when I could receive the card Some representatives stated that it wasn t possible to receive the card in Thailand while two agents I talked to did When I setup a special arrangement with one agent to receive the card within seven days that aligned with my travel schedule they redacted the statement five days later and told me it would take 10-15 business days instead For most travelers 10-15 business days is their entire trip They lack integrity in following through in what they told me personal empathy in not providing me convenient ways to obtain funds to live in another country and provide robotic bureaucratically approved responses that simulate an attempt to connect with you

The worst
Terrible I regularly get false information from their support team their policies and procedures are awful for the customer and they refused to give me my sign up bonus despite having done everything in the promo offer I received they said I needed to keep 50 in my checking account when the promo offer specified SAVINGS - they are truly incompetent and they refuse to right their mistakes

Worst customer service EVER I m switching banks ASAP
Worst customer service Made getting a loan the most complicated experience ever Took an entire month for this process just to end up wasting my time Everyone was always giving me attitude and being rude if I asked questions Been here for years and definitely moving banks after this experience

They dont know how to talk with
They dont know how to talk with customers Worst customer service ever They did everything they pulled my credit i got approved for loan and then she called me and saying i need to go to san diego from Northern California because of the membership but before on the call she literally said everything will be over the phone and i asked why few questions and she is like very rude Why she didn t tell me before hand why they pulled my credit score she knew i cant go to san diego or anywhere if you guys keep doing that you guys will lose your valuable customers and new customers

Time to look for a new credit union
After almost a decade of banking with CCCU I m sorry to say that I am searching for a new credit union The new digital banking experience app website rollout was poorly managed from start to finish Little if any direct customer communication about the transition zero transparency about potential issues regarding integration with other apps and services and zero heads-up that there would be a hard stop date for using the old site app I m not sure why they felt the need to switch over to this new app It s horribly designed and glitches every time I use it Looks like it was designed by amateurs and functions about as well It s time to say goodbye to Cal Coast I fear
