Terrible Bank with No ATMs and Horrible Customer Service
If you miss the days of waiting in very long lines to withdraw money from the bank then DCU is your place I live in a busy city yet DCU has very few locations here On top of that their ATMs are nowhere to be located other than in the actual bank This is the only bank in 2020 that still maintains long lines going out the door on an average day If you need to call the bank expect to be treated rudely When using DCU for auto-pay options with debtors you can expect very long turn-around times to reflect payments were made This bank is terrible for too many reasons to get into Steer clear

Worst Customer Service
DCU is the worst hands down I was closing in on my Car Lease and ended up choosing DCU They approved my loan and asked me to open an account which failed 3 times The they asked me to donate post which I was was able to open a membership and then after 2 days my loan application was not still approved and upon calling they said said its canceled and they are sorry Its so pathetic when you urgently need the car loan The customer service rep was not at all empathetic

Worst upgrade I ve ever seen The old online banking is far superior than this new one Left my last bank because of a poor upgrade and after 15 years with DCU I m considering leaving

After 30 years with DCU no more
After 30 years with DCU I wish i could give them a zero They use to be a good organization but that was years ago their online banking app is terrible there process are insulting and their people just don t seem to care After 30 years i simply no longer trust them with my money I signed up with a new bank moved my money and closed my account

They lost my car title document
Hi I m writing to give my feedback about the way an important document was mishandled handled by DCU I m extremely disappointed that my Title document was mailed out to me without any tracking info through USPS I think is gross negligence When I reached out to the DCU after waiting couple of months I was told the Title document was dispensed a month after the loan was paid off However I have not received any title document in mail I checked with local USPS and they totally could not trace the sent mail I was therefore offered to go to DMV with a Lien release letter and work from bottom This is extremely time consuming and inconvenient for me It will cost me to get duplicate I wish there were better processes in place in the first so I would not have never lost an important

Got denied 2nd time no specific
Got denied 2nd time no specific reason Submit application 2nd time online then another 3-5 bank days for decision Received DCU letter of denial today states they cannot tell me reason for denial the Account Opening Dept will not speak with me so your left to deal with people working main 800 Number and the people working these phones cannot tell you much either the letter of denial does not state or gives you a sense of what will happen to your personal information collected during application process I requested that my personal information not be sold market or shared in anyway the people working the 800 Number tells me No we don t do that I asked how do I know that no response after that from other end of phone

The transition to a New Better system
The transition to a New Better system has been a disaster Was unable to log into my account and when I finally was able to disable antivirus software it allowed me access Talked to a DCU rep who suggested that I should not use the antivirus and just be careful where I accessed REALLY 30 year member and have always had service and ability to get into my account I changed nothing in my system and was all of a sudden unable to get into my account as of 6-26-2022

DCU customer service
I used DCU for a car loan about 5 years ago and service was pretty good You actually could talk to a rep fairly quickly I got another loan last year and the process to discuss the loan was about as customer UNFRIENDLY as it could be If you opted for a call back instead of waiting on hold often the call did not come or rang once and cut off or you got a message that put you back on hold In the last few weeks I have spent untold hours trying to reach someone There are more negatives especially with the computerized contact system I could discuss but suffice it say I paid off the recent loan and cancelled my account

25 Year customer - now Disappointed time change
We have been a DCU family for 25 years They used to have excellent service and their website while not the most advanced worked really well This year they updated to a new provider and it is THE WORST POS SYSTEM I HAVE EVER SEEN Take multiple clicks to find things that used to be easy to access it Extremely unintuitive 3 different credit card companies won t stay authenticated in bill pay I am afraid we are going to have to change to another bank This is just unacceptable I was hoping that if we waited 4-5 months while they ironed out the kinks things would get better but it the same

My how the mighty have fallen
Been a member of dcu since 07 Used to do all my banking with them moved away slowly as their service deteriorated I decided to refinance an electric car with them During the same time I purchased 3 other cars for my business 0 Issues with title insurance with any of the other purchases Constant hassle and pain with DCU CS departments sound like they want to be there as much as I want to call them for the 1000th time trying to resolve things This will be the last transaction I have with them
