The company and staff are great Booking collecting and returning are easy Sadly this year the Chinese-built dr car we were supplied with was dreadful in several respects and a very poor substitute for the Hyundai Tucson I ordered

Pretty painless
Pretty painless I ve had awful experiences with Spanish car hire companies before so was relieved this one went smoothly I had booked online and it was very quick and relaxed collecting the car The lady was reasonably nice and didn t try and force the additional insurance on me like some of the car hire companies can do was all pretty chilled Pick up and return was straight forward too no issues with damaged- something I was concerned about as the car had damage on every panel I m not joking That s the only bad point but on the whole was pleased with the service

Booked many times in Malpensa Always everything is ok The only thing is the shuttle service I usually have to wait about 30-45 minutes at the airport And calling the office is very difficult Have to listen to a 2 minute and 20 seconds of a privacy policy in Italian before it s trying to connect me only to get an automatic message telling me that everyone are busy and I should try again later

Everything went well
english warning Rented for a week from Rome location The pickup van was right where they said they would be they greeted us by name and had the car ready for us for two weeks we had no issues with the vehicle Returning the car was simple there are two gas stations close to the return site to return the car full and then we were back to the airport almost immediately Our driver recommended a restaurant in Trastevere Rome which was excellent thank you driver i m sorry i now forget your name my only request is to have the ability to request an specific model instead of similar of but that s a problem with all rentals I will use again

Broken down on day 2
We booked through Discover cars We collected a car from Alicante airport this unfortunately broke down on day 2 We used road assistance customer service was excellent Thankfully we broke down on a quiet residential road could have been a lot worse It was all sorted within a few hours and we had a new car in no time which we collected from the Torrevieja office

Professional action with carproblem
We hade problem with warning for tyre pressure when we left Alicante AirPort We went to the Office in Torrevieja and they gave us another car without any discussion Very professional handled and we are very satisfied how they solved the problem

Why can t we book a basic level rental directly with Centauro
We have rented cars from Centauro directly for years and actually have an account with them We ve always been very happy with their service and they would normally be our automatic choice for car hire in Spain Recently however both their website and their app only offer the premium rate for car hire which we neither need nor want as we have a yearly car rental insurance Consequently we have had to search elsewhere for better deals Ironically on more than one occasion via car brokers we have managed to book the kind of deal with Centauro which was unavailable directly We find it very odd that Centauro allows brokers to offer basic rental prices when they seem not to be available for direct booking

I only ever use Centauro
I always use Centauro and have done for years On returning the car i would be happier if someone checked the car and the full full petrol status having said that my fuel was refunded to me on the same day but that is just a small critiicism I would 100 recommend Centauro from my experiences using them

Simple procedure friendly explanations No nasty surprises on return that you read about on competitors reviews Down one Star because I didn t get my preference of small car instead I was upgraded to nightmare SUV which is nightmare in Spanish streets and worry of going too fast
