Long Range radio course - excellent Doug has incredible subject knowledge and is a gifted instructor He expertly guided us through the exam process too Many thanks to Chieftain training - they are to be throughly recommended

Excpetionally good Trainign Experience

We attending Chieftain Training to begin our RYA day skipper certificate Although this was when we were having the hottest days on record Dug Innes managed to keep us engaged and has a very good way of delivering the lessons HIs knowledge as a skipper and on boating is immense We would definitely recommend his training centre for any training needed on sail or motor boats or anthing involved with boating

A day well spent

Just spent a day on their Diesel Engine course wow what a fantastic course very informative with hands on experience of several types of engines even a running engine so we could actually practise some fault finding techniques Im not one for sitting and being lectured at for a day so this course was ideal for me a perfect mix of overhead slides combined with actually seeing all the working parts inside the engine and being able to take bits apart and re assemble them Very knowledgeable Instructor who presented an excellent insight into Diesel Engines will be back for day 2 for sure Can highly recommend Chieftain Training my 2nd course so far with them

Good Sea Survival Training

Sea Survival is potentially a very dry subject and we all hope that we will never need to benefit from this training Doug Innes managed to keep our interest and keep the content relevant pitching the training just at the right level Overall a very good day

Best ever

PS following on from my initial reveiw yesterday I should also have said that this was the best First Aid course I have done - ever In 25 years as a YM I have done RYA and STCW First Aid courses at RYA TCs and Commercial Nautical Colleges This was the best by far - great use of teaching aids good discussion and a top class instructor

Pristine service for your needs

Not many centres offer 2 days of preparation exam alongside an advanced course so it was great to get it done in a whole week I am someone who doesn t retain information well if the learning is broken up so this was perfectly suited to me Instructors there are all welcoming and want you to do well They know the waters so well that it makes the learning process easier Thanks for everything Highly recommend

Exceeded my expectations

I attended the Yacht Maintenance Week Course and would strongly recommend it to one and all The course has exactly the right mix of theory and practice giving you the knowledge and skills to approach fault-finding and repair with confidence Covering diesel electrics outboard rope and sail as the main topics it certainly exceeded my expectations

Really pleased we chose Chieftain for our courses Doug and Gaz were very knowledgeable instructors delivering both day s syllabus well interspersed with great anecdotes Only complaint - need biscuits with the free tea and coffee
