iPhone 14 Pro Max from Xfinity Mobile not unlocked after waiting the timeframe Direct Unlocks said it would be unlocked on

I bought an unlock for a Xfinity iPhone 14 Pro Max on May 31st Paid 28 and then another 45 for the unlock Website said it would be 7 days until the unlock was completed and the unlock has not went through It s says 99 percent and doesn t move beyond that I emailed their customer service department and was given a very scripted email about how my unlock was submitted on the 31st of May and how that sometimes they need to go to a manufacturer for an unlock code However iPhones don t have unlock codes They are locked by the carrier I received an email saying my device is hard locked by Xfinity however Xfinity has not hard locked my device and offered me a credit However that credit is worthless to me The excuse that my device is hard locked is a lie Direct Unlocks more than likely doesn t have anyone to unlock the device from Xfinity so they say it s hard locked so they can keep your money I definitely would advise staying away from this company if you have a device from Xfinity Mobile

Disappointingly bafflingly duplicitous

In short the service was quick and easy and I had no complications However as every other review has said this website is disgustingly duplicitous when it comes to the price I assume it is the same as the MobileUnlocks as well as they re almost identical except for the name I combed the website for any indication that there would be a secondary price to pay for the actual codes on top of the initial quoted 11 99 and it doesn t mention pricing anywhere except for when you pay it I had the same as other UK customers - initial price of 11 99 then a message saying 26 to be paid to actually access the codes I actually think that 37 99 is totally reasonable to pay for this service and had the pricing been upfront this would have been a 5 star review as my phone was unlocked after 1 hour However I m appalled at the lack of transparency and misleading customer journey

Hidden costs not listed on initial quote Ended up costing over 50 in total Other sites and shops do this at a fraction of the cost took nearly five days for the process to be completed willl not be using again

Did not solve the problem Unable to unlock Moto Z3

Update After a few weeks if back and forth no one was able to unlock my phone however I got confirmation of a refund so at least it only cost me time Still a little frustrated that it took leaving a bad review to get a reaction Adding a star since the tech did try and was willing to walk me through everything he was doing If you have a Moto Z3 from verizon it may be a lost cause Original I don t like leaving bad reviews I try and find something good to say at least But sadly that s not an option here I paid DirectUnlocks for not only their basic service but also the Remote Technician Unlock Both services took a long time and the technician I got was rather inpatient a fact I would be willing to overlook if the job go done However despite them saying my phone is unlocked it still won t take other SIMs and gives me a warning that the SIM is not from Verizon so it won t work Furthermore my attempts to contact DirectUnlocks about either a refund or actually rendering the service I paid for have gone ignored which only adds insult to injury I d rather be told We tried you re out of luck than just be ignored as the latter make it feel like a scam If I hear back from DirectUnlocks I ll be happy to change this review But until then if you re going to try and unlock a Moto Z3 buyer beware it seems that despite what they say that phone is beyond what they can do

Very cunningly set up to deceive The initial cost and timeframe quote is a smaller amount straight up for an instamt Eligibilty Check If you don t read the fine print carefully enough you don t see that they will then ask you for a larger amount an Unlocking Fee which also takes much longer If it works it works but it is worded and set up in such a way as to trick you

Misleading price Actually 56 99 for iPhone 8

The ini ial price is only for a check Then they charged me 30 more The unlock did work instantly but the pricing mechanism they use is misleading Also after the purchase they offer you 10 Back if you leave a positive review That s why they have so many 5 stars Because they end up with 20 euros anyway

They had the decency to to say they issued me a refund but it has been 7 working days and bank normally process refunds in a day or two This is the email I got Dear Tajay This email is to confirm that the payment for Official IMEI Unlock for 353665908105565 iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB Silver locked to Verizon USA for the value of 45 00 has been refunded back onto your card It can take up to 5 days to appear on your statement Sorry we couldn t help you this time but please remember us in future Tim DirectUnlocks Direct Unlocks I am not seeing my money

I unlocked one iPhone 11 Pro Max and

I unlocked one iPhone 11 Pro Max and then went to unlock another and it could not be unlocked from iCloud yet I was told I would be contacted for an upgraded service I have emailed directunlock a couple of times and no responses These phone were given to me by a friend named Henry Ruiz in California They belonged to he his wife and two daughters

Not worth it

Didn t read thoroughly enough and thought it was just 25 dollars they also claim to be able to unlock your phone within 24hrs Turns out I had to pay over 100 dollars plus waited 7 days when I had a guy on eBay do it for less than half the price and did it in 3 days Waste of money and time It was my fault for not reading carefully though

It s a progressive payment service pay as you advance

There was a moment in the process where I thought I was being scammed And even though it s not technically a scam since the process DID work it may be important to note that neither the first or second payments will work It s until the third one approx 200USD that you will effectively get the unlock and they call it the Premium Service It appears that by paying progressively this is the way they hook you into buying their service no money back at first until you reach the last payment which is 100 guarantee or money back or at least part of it I didn t like that they weren t up-front about the prices I ended up paying 300 USD But I will say that it DOES work It may take a while but it does work
