Stress-Free Efficient Car Hire

Overall impressed with my Europcar experience despite the many negative reviews it seems to receive I pre-booked on-line and collected my hire car from London Stansted The pick-up process was quick and efficient - the car itself was clean Staff were friendly clearly explained the fuel policy and were attentive on return when carrying out the final checks The held deposit was off my bank statement in a timely fashion after hire too

Europcar Aberdeen nice upgrade

Poor start to the collection of the car their computer system and phones weren t working So there was a delay of 5 minutes before they could do anything and the process itself took longer However we were given an upgrade to the car ordered which was very nice Reasonable value for the car we got Drop off was easy and I got the return statement by email almost immediately

The collection experience was professional I received a car upgrade at no additional cost All damage scrapes and rubs were recorded by the booking agent prior to departure I had to telephonically extend my booking by one day only to find that I had been charged for two days as the return time was after the office had closed on Saturday Vehicle was left parked outside and keys returned in the secure drop box

Lovely car but

The VW Polo was a great car except for so-called driver assist features which were horrible and unexpected Lane changing feature was dreadful and I thought that there was something wrong with the car The cruise control turns off automatically when you get within 100 yards of a car in front Drivers need to be told about these types of features

Great pickup old car

Great pickup easy booking car had done about 20 000 miles so older than I expected with a couple of dents Took a long while to hand back at car return but overall a satisfactory experience nothing special other than the guy at collection or would have only been a 3 for the stated reasons Also quiet expensive

Pickup was delayed

The vehicle wasn t ready at the pickup time even though I had postponed pickup by 1 hour The car was a little older with worn carpetsBut performed well I think a small map with recommended nearby gas stations would be useful when returning the vehicle as they always want it full of gas

Collected our car and as it was my birthday I got a free upgrade thank you Gerry at Edinburgh Airport very nice and helpful man Didn t realise the insurance was per day thought the amount was for all 3 days so a bit more than I was expecting on the overall bill Lovely car though very clean and easy to navigate the rental and car Thank you

Friendly expert stuff

A good selection of cars from budget to luxury The booking site was easy to navigate with clear pricing options The catch as with many rental companies is that the car provided is or equivalent model meaning you can t book a specific car that you are comfortable with Staff were very friendly and helpful trying to offer you the best value for an added sum Acting smartly can net you a better car for a bit extra money

Hired at Stansted airport Very smooth experience Git an upgrade which we really didn t want BIG NEGATIVE On getting home checked the credit card An unauthorized charge When I asked they said it was roadside assistance Apparently my husband signed for it No verbal mention was made only the usual question about excess insurance Just sign here sign here They are carrying out an investigation but after such a smooth operation very disappointed

I recently dealt with Mariam at Heathrow whilst she did offer me more expensive cars initially which aligns with other reviews i did very clearly explain i could not afford and she went out of her way to accommodate me at very short notice and much sooner than my allocated pick up time Mariam was lovely and if you are lucky enough to get her i am sure you will have a very pleasant experience I will use Europcar again as the check in and check back process was without fault and i received an extremely nice car Thanks Mariam i really appreciated your effort
