absolute disgrace did not process my cheque then used the courts as a tool and now i am being harassed by the owner for the review

Not a good experience unfortunately Designed fireplaces ordered the wrong fireplace and caused a 2 week delay I appreciate that these sorts of things can happen abs that s life - what I didn t appreciate was the lack of customer service or apologies from the company despite the fact that they had created the problem The fireplace is lovely but the attitude was not

Buy at your own peril Make marble fireplaces out of off-cuts stuck together This is not what I paid for and really begrudge paying for replacements after they crack due to the poor quality of product Company not interested at all in customer satisfaction an apology would ve been nice but not given Oh well live and learn I guess I personally would look elsewhere for a marble fireplace that isn t bodged together with bond sealant

Mick -customer services gave a condescending answer to my question His answer any fire will lose heat up the flu check out energy rating My question was regarding an economical fire Which he failed totally Couldn t be bothered to explain-Ie convector fires as although I understand heat is lost up the flu a convector fire releases heat through vents and all the heat does not go up the fluHence they are more economicalHis answer was basic failed to clarify economical benefits of convector fires And advised me to do my own homework and look at energy ratings lazy get out for a well paid advisor And advocate for this company This advisor has shortfalls any expectations I had for such a presegeous company and failed to explain economical benefits of convector fires Which he couldnt be bothered to take the time and answers a question with the least effort possibleI will not be purchasing from this companyExtreme lack luster customer services is just the beginning of what not to expect from this company

Designer fireplace disregarded my review with a false statement that communication was exchanged via emailThis is not true It was a telephone conversation That took place between the advisor and myself The company s false and fabricated reply to try and uphold company s reputation By falsifying The actual form of communication Which took place My comments are truthfull and accurate The response from this company actually exposes them as dishonest and totally un -able to truthfully acnowlege shortfalls of their advisor The public can read between the lines they are not fools The sequence of communication and flow of questions and answers was obviously spoken over the telephone and not email or should I suggest several fabricated emails would have had to have occurred To have covered questions answers and reply s which I stated

We have purchased a 5x5 5 foot beam The invisible fixing arrangement is of poor design Apart from the accuracy required between wall mounted screw fixings 6 screw heads located along the beam and must be positioned within 1mm between them the screw heads do not easily fit into the brackets when just trying them in the fixing plate before even attempting to fit them on the wall Sorry but a very poor design would not recommend trying to use them i HAVE NOW BEEN CONTACTED BY THE SUPPLIER AND IT APPEARS THAT I RECEIVED THE INCORRECT SCREWS REPLACEMENTS ARE BEING SENT

I was disappointed that the beam had a huge crack right in the middle which is not shown on any of the images online Whilst I appreciate the timber is naturally dried I felt it was not the best aesthetically and really should not have been sent

Excellent quality But difficult to fit

don t get me wrong the fireplace was perfect but the communication terrible firstly after spending over 2k didn t hear anything from the company until I called to gain information was told the order was coming on a Wednesday or Thursday a few weeks after call so booked time off work to find out on the Friday when I called again that the fireplace wasn t turning up until the Saturday Delivery driver was polite and gave me Mick s number to ring if any problems when I did call went straight to answer phone but was called back over an hour later Should have been 2 people to lift assembly into house because of the sheer weight of the marble There was no instruction on how to put the fireplace together at all I also had to wait for the mirror fixing brackets to arrive in the post a few days later as they were not with the delivery For over 2k spent I just expected the service to be much better and at least some help with installation A real shame really as the fireplace looks lovely

Woodwork was good instructions to fit were minimum and the fittings were crudely fitted but that was a small fault as fitting are hidden
