We loved the quality of the wood and

We loved the quality of the wood and the way it looked Unfortunately there wasn t enough gap left behind the screw holes so we had to route out some extra We also found the holes had zero tolerance when lining them up for a professional that s fine but we struggled a bit We wanted to order the shelves to match but it was too expensive Everything else was great thank you

Replacement Fireplace

Very happy with new limestone fireplace ordered from Designer Fireplaces definitely a quality product It has now been professionally fitted enhances the lounge The only down side was that it did take about 16 weeks to arrive from Portugal instead of the 8 week estimate Although the delay may have been partly because the specific size was made to order perhaps communications between Portugal Designer Fireplaces myself could have been a little better

Arrived quickly and looks great but inset not made as per dimensioned drawings

Product arrived quickly and in good condition Good communication from the company We found that when the builders came to fit it a number of weeks later that the slate inset had not been made to the sizes shown on the drawings and an adaptation had to be made Luckily the builder was able to correct the manufacturing error and it now looks great in place

Beautifully made and good value

Very good quality - well put together and finished We like the slightly art deco style which suits our 1930s house well and the price was well below comparable surrounds from other suppliers The ordering process was trouble-free the only glitch being that we only got a day s notice of delivery and then the driver turned up 2 hours before he was expected which meant we weren t ready Overall though very pleased

Fireplace surround

Delivered on time Quality great Could have had some instructions Although straight forward to put together I was just a little anxious fitting the fixtures to the wall Took some adjusting to get mantle piece completely level with a firm fix onto the bracket fixings Was heavy too But the finished article looks really good Overall really happy

This is a well-made shelf

This is a well-made shelf which was delivered exactly when they told me it would be It looks very stylish It is beautifully made and fits exactly The instructions for installation were good It was a bit heavy to do on my own I won t see 70 again but I managed it Everyone who sees it says it is really good That s what I think too I would buy again from this firm

Very please with the fire surround

Very please with the fire surround looks really well made and the wood is lovely It took a while to come but was worth waiting for I have not been able to fit it yet as I need someone to do that for me so can t wait to see the full effect of the fire surround Maybe it would be nice to offer a fitting service for these items
