Wish I hadn t used Spruce

I too wish I read the reviews before booking with Spruce I booked the 9 00 - 1 00 window and they were late so we rescheduled On the reschedule they were late for that too and that got me looking at the reviews and specifically all of the bad reviews I was experiencing everything the people who posted the reviews experienced I decided to cancel my appointment all together and am waiting on a refund It looks like they charged me a 35 cancellation fee Let s see if I get the refund I m looking for another cleaner and will do my research I too selected Spruce because the recommendation came from my apartment complex

HORRIBLE CLEANING CUSTOMER SERVICE

Note to sprucePrevious cleaning was very disappointing Found a giant hairball on the kitchen floor as I entered my apartment - the hair was thick and black so I know it wasn t mine The countertops in the kitchen were dusty and there were crumbs obviously not cleaned The bedroom nightstands were also covered in dust I checked the time stamp from when the cleaner entered and exited my apartment and I have a very difficult time believing that she cleaned my entire 1000 sq ft apartment in 1 1 2 hours Clearly she didn t After letting customer service know about my experience I was offered a 35 credit for the next service When I told them I was not going to use Spruce again I was offered a 40 refund After paying 100 for a cleaning service and not getting what I paid for I find this unacceptable

Do not waste your money

Do not waste your money They charge the customer 20 immediately for changes within 2 business days of service I have no issue with that On the day of my service they asked if I could change the time window for my service They offered a 15 credit to apply towards the future only after I reminded them of their policy I expect to be credited 20 immediately for the last minute change just as I would be charged had I initiated it

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE

They canceled less than an hour before the arrival window and offered no compensation or explanation The customer service was incredibly rude I m actually kind of convinced this company is a scam and they definitely don t care about their customers

Did not clean

Showed up at wrong time couldn t get customer service to answer if they would be coming back or not would take 20 minutes to respond to one question and not even give an answer Cleaners finally show up and did NOT clean They halfway wiped down surfaces and spot swept and spot mopped I paid for a PREMIUM clean and nothing was done Then only get partial refund

I really want BBB to look into this company I used their services once - booked a deluxe cleaning and my home was not even cleaned correctly Decided to try it again due to the discount They cancelled my services at 4 30pm after sending me a message at 2 30pm that they were on the way Save your time and money folks

Ruined my fridge and then denied responsibility - WORST experience ever

Company was referred to me directly by my apartment complex in Chicago My stainless steel fridge was ruined - whatever was used was not safe for the fridge and within 2 days the entire fridge and freezer was rusted and pitted After reaching out to Spruce they apologized and asked for the invoice for repairs Once I sent the invoice- they told me they actually would not pay for the repairs and denied any fault or ownership They refused any further discussion or involvement in fixing the problem despite multiple attempts I am now stuck with 1400 of repairs for damage that was clearly a result of the cleaning service from a company that was recommended by my leasing office I have never written a review until now- DO NOT recommend if you value anything in your home They are extremely unprofessional unhelpful and cold Would not trust them in my home ever again There is also no human you can talk to on the phone- they only send a generic email response neglecting ownership

I paid for a deep cleaning before the holidays and now ran into a complete disaster Absolutely horrible service Paid a lot of money for them to be in and out in 45 minutes They didn t do anything and now want to only refund me 60 what a joke DO NOT USE THEM I never write bad reviews but this was a must
