Very good up until the final exchange

The service was good up until the final exchanging of contracts I was informed that the buyers of my property had not responded to confirm the date of moving on the Wednesday as they were on holiday so did not find out that we could actually move until the following Monday afternoon when I rang Gordon Brown However the buyers said that they confirmed instantly on the Wednesday meaning that i had less than a week to prepare for the move when i could have had 9 days - this made it very stressful

Careful and thorough conveyancing process

Care and thoroughness was taken with the legal process throughout with clear explanations of the search results etc I had full confidence that the conveyancer knew her stuff and the fees were reasonable Less pleased with a general lack of updates lack of response to some of my queries and seeming lack of understanding about my personal situation even though I had provided information about this from the outset On the whole though I would definitely recommend this firm for conveyancing

Not bad and not great service

Not bad and not great service we finally completed last week but had a massive fight and process was very slow replies to e-mails at times can be 4 days plus also lose items so make sure you do everything digital

Slow Unorganised and too busy but got better

Instructed GB Law after selling with Purple Bricks So far having a horrendous time Catherine my solicitor took five weeks to answer initial questions had no idea on the status of my file and is curt and dismissive when challenged on my sale Craig Wendy have been great so far but initial delay has meant missing the deadline for buyers sellers completion Excuses include bank holidays with Jubilee im on holiday im very busy So far NOT a great experience I hope to be able to provide a more favourable review in the future UPDATE Increased to three stars as the person who ended up dealing with my case was amazing and couldn t be more helpful throughout Shame it didn t start this way

I received a good service

I received a good service even though the process was very stressful but Emma Apandi was professional and carried me along all the way However the company needs to improve on their continuity work doesn t have to stop because a aseworker was off works should continue irrespective of whether the case worker was present or not and due to this we did not complete as scheduled Overall I will recommend them Well done Emma and thank you

Overall adequate service

Overall adequate service Even though a sale by modern auction confusion over completion date and last minute requests for information some already provided Expensive but suffers from inherent problems within the industry in the UK Arguably needs driving over a cliff and starting again but MPs are to busy whining about parties to make useful necessary legal reform Staff are approachable and fairly easy to get hold off Would benefit from a dashboard that clients can see to monitor progress a nd identify mistakes but this is an industry run for everybody but the end user paying for it

Never got a chance

I see that GBL have a lot of good feedback but I never really got a chance to find out I think its all down to the individual solicitor you are assigned Mine never emailed me back after 4 days I emailed another address at GBL still no response The only person who seemed to respond was they guy from moneysupermarket who recommended them So they may be good but the initial customer relationship is not satisfactory

I was kept up to date with everything

I was kept up to date with everything throughout the process Catherine was very helpful especially when I was a bit confused or didn t fully understand something She chased when needed and made sure I got everything I needed in order

Remortgage - Professional service from Dylan

Our remortgage process was complex and took a long time to go through however our Conveyancer Dylan was very helpful thorough and understood the pressure for us to complete He was easy to communicate with and was very responsive I would recommend GBL and would work with Dylan again

No problems I think an initial list of things you might need for a leasehold from a management company or leaseholder would be useful as it caused a bit of work and delay
