My partner and I used Gordon Brown Law to buy our first house together and our designated Conveyancer was Joanne Reid Our searches were arranged quickly and with no issues when we first instructed our solicitors All documents were kept up to day and Joanne worked well with our builders Things were a bit low moving for non-urgent questions however we usually had an answer within the week For more urgent matters Joanne was really helpful and quick to offer advice and resolve any issues We never had any delays regarding legal communications or documentation We had an incident during our purchase which involved getting advice from a third party Joanne was able to direct me to the appropriate professional and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and our concerns were resolved Thanks for all your help Joanne and Gordon Brown Law

The process of selling my house was very long but I think that must the way it works in the UK because lord i never thought it would end I am happy with my solicitor He kept me updated and informed I have no complaints how he handled my case I would definitely recommend them for sure

Auction can be a daunting and complicated process if you are unfamiliar with it Joanne Reid was very helpful and understanding and explained things fully One thing I would note upfront is that it seems to be quite normal for auction to go beyond the agreed completion date so read your ts and cs very carefully before making any plans

Our conveyancer Louis was a pleasure to deal with especially with my elderly mother Our sale was a lengthy procedure because the Estate Agent did absolutely nothing to move things along so it was left to us and Louis to make sure we got it over the line

Very reliable service

The communication through emails as in my job I can never answer calls throughout the day Kate always went above beyond and was ahead of the game and very responsive very patient as she never gave up dug deep to help me sell my property even when it fell through 3 times she just kept going until the property eventually sold last week

Remortgage help to buy

Remortgage with paying off part of help to buy I must admit that this procedure isn t straight forward and Target made this procedure very difficult with lack of communication and their very long winded slow process I d like to thank Catherine Hughes who kept in regular contact throughout with updates and explaining the situation I am happy to say that we completed Catherine worked very hard and we are happy with the outcome Just a note to anyone paying off part of help to buy - allow 9 months as you have to jump through many hurdles due to Target and their poor lack of communication Thank you Catherine

Efficient friendly service

We have been really pleased with the service we have received from Gordon Brown Law Whenever we contacted Kellie or Kathryn they would always respond within 1 day which is really helpful when wanting to know an update on the status of our case When calling through to the firm reception we would always receive friendly helpful service and any query we had would never be too much trouble

Moving home is stressful

Moving home is one of the most stressful things that you can experience I found Kate Bell who was my Solicitor for 13 months always at the end of an email or phone Friendship was formed but still professional Kate was kind understanding and supportive I wish her well for the future Rosemary Tunstall
