I had to cancel my order

I had to cancel my order which never came from hi fix they use dx as a courier and they said that dx had lost the item hi fix are responsible for my delivery not only that the lack of correspondence has been very poor I will not use this company again and would not recommend them

Ordered a RSD record

Ordered a RSD record paid via PayPal only to be told 2 days out of stock

RCA cable broken

Ordered a Audio Quest RCA cable and it came broken the connector was ripped off Needed a replacement urgently but the company wouldn t send me one immediately until I sent the broken one back first Very disappointed

I paid extra for my item to delivered next day it took 4 days no explanation no refund

The tonearm pictured was broken and not what I got

Now I thought I was purchasing a Michell badged OEM303 tonearm but the arm I was sent was not as pictured on the description in that the tonearm counterweight was different Also it had a broken tonearm clip and a wire was disconnected so it didn t work I complained and got excuses about Michell engineering No offer of a replacement tonearm clip or a correct tonearm counterweight just excuses As my intention from the outset was to upgrade and modify this tonearm it was still irritating to have to spend time carrying out additional work in order to make a useable arm for my turntable rather than spend even more time sending it back waiting for the refund and sourcing and buying a replacement This is not a retailer that will be on my favourites list at any time in the future At the very least due to saving them the hassle of organising a return an issuing a refund some token gesture would have been appreciated Real HiFi professionals

Diabolical Customer Service

The customer service from Hifix has been diabolical I emailed Hifix to complain about a faulty stylus they sold me and did not receive a reply After 28 days I emailed them again I got a reply to my second email apologising I replied to tell them what the problem was and I haven t had a reply to that email for over a week now I would not recommend buying from Hifix

AVOID

AVOID I purchased a SVS PB2000 subwoofer from them I believed all the good reviews and initially things were great Frank the owner hand delivered the subwoofer as his courier companies wouldn t deliver such a heavy item On the 30th day I realised there is a noise coming from the subwoofer with no input I raised it with them on a Friday 19th July 2024 and they said the warranty chap would contact me on Monday 22nd July 2024 to discuss options No one called me so I called them on the Monday and Thomas Tonk answered He was very rude arrogant and generally a piece of work to deal with He first started telling me that I need to return the sub to them to inspect at my own expense as it was over 30 days since delivery I notified them on the 31st day I asked to speak to a manager and turns out there is no manger the next senior person is the owner Frank Now that he could tell I was annoyed and probably worried I was going to go above him he asked for me to send a video of the fault etc At this point I had enough of speaking with him so just asked for Frank to call me This Thomas Tonk was unable to give me any timescale for when Frank would call me I asked so your saying it could be 2 days 2 weeks or 2 years and he bluntly replied yes Now I am stuck with a broken sub and no after sale service

False promises

Full of false promises or calling you back what could of been a good customer no thanks I d sooner pay a little more money and shop at a reliable company direct where they get these positive reviews from I m stunned after nearly spending 750 I wanted 2 products 1 was in stock and the other not I told mark I wanted to purchase both from them but he couldn t tell me when one of the products was in he told me he would call me back on Monday but I ve heard this 3 times from his colleagues never have they returned my calls and always me calling them he told me he would place one of the products aside until Monday as I said I would 100 take that anyway he said no problem yet again no phone call so I called them back spoke to mark not only could he tell me that the product is not going to be back in stock but sold the one he put aside for me completely wasted a week with this company never again useless at keeping their word I ll spend my money direct with Bose from now on wasted my time

Disgusted

Had to send an item back It was only opened for about 20 mins to try HiFix said we had damaged the sound bar which was impossible We packed it all back as best we could the next day Sent pictures of the plastic strip in the box and highlighted finger marks on remote Decided to deduct 10 from refund Totally disgusted Would never use them again

Very badly packaged had obviously been dropped plastic tub was split and coming out of packaging content s only saved by plastic bag in tub
