Good response time but

They have a good response time however when I email every time I mention the 10 student discount that is connected on Student Beans they never put it on and they ignore when I mention it so I have to mention it every time with no progression of it actually being pursued It would just be much appreciated if someone would actually say no we can t do that or yes we can because I don t understand why it can t just be added on through your system when it s literally on the Student Beans app We ve had to pay extra on top of our first bill for the installation fee and a full month of Wi-Fi when we ve been at the property for over a week now so why are we paying a full month and extra when we haven t even had Wi-Fi for that time

Price rises were huge tried to charge us extra

Homebox recently contacted our student group and offered us rewards upwards of 100 for every household you refer - so who knows how much money they re making off students if they can afford to give us that much I actually used this company last year under the name Billing Better for our student house Every few months we received an email saying our bills would be going up by a huge amount once it was 90 each and we were on the phone for hours across multiple calls trying to understand why They always ended up saying there had been a mistake and that they would lower our bills a bit - but usually our invoice didn t change and we d have to call again a few days later to chase them up Even though we always managed to get the price down a bit our bill increases were still much higher than what our parents and other friends were having to pay directly to the suppliers when energy prices went up last year It was very stressful getting those emails and waiting to see whether we d actually have to pay that much extra or if they d lower the price like they said on the phone I d much rather have dealt with housemates not paying each other on time than have dealt with this company

Saying energy is unlimited but then bill from another company is coming separately for sum lump for heating Isn t heating included in energy Or it s some kind of different energy

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible I have been using this company for two months now three February payment was fine and now March April they seemingly can t pay my energy company I have been recieving emails after email demanding I pay the bill and when I send this to homebox what am I told Oh we ll get on this we re in contact etc etc Yet I still recieve these stressful emails about an undue payment for 350 now and I can t afford it Not when I m paying these guys who can t get off their laurels and be honest with me Can you talk to them via phone Hardly you have to make do with a live chat with a bot that is quite frankly useless and a customer service representative who gives you the exact same lip service as last time I ve read reviews and found that this is a similar case for others too I won t ammend this review until something is ACTUALLY done Because this is absolutely disgusting

I was told by the estate agent it would improve my chances of getting the house then when I tried to cancel on day 1 I was t9ld its 120 pound Then charged 10 extra each month for them taking on incorrect days Spoke to staff who laughed at me Disgusting service

Mix up of packages again I just

Mix up of packages again I just checked my bill package and once again they ve put the Wi-Fi package to the most expensive one It s just me and my friend in the house and we re just students in multiple emails I ve said that we did not want the most expensive package as it s just us why they still continuously putting this most expensive package on 77 86 which is not okay when I ve said this once before and it shouldn t have happened again They feel like they re just doing it to get the most out of us as students it s not okay

The best staff when you want to cancel your account

I just wanted to let you know that the only reason the company is getting any stars is because of the two amazing staff members I spoke to about my complaint and refund If only the rest of the staff were as helpful as Sophie and Zara I probably wouldn t have closed my account So to you two I salute you and thank you for your incredible help to the managers of these two Please pay them more and get them to train the rest of your staff They re about as useful as a vegan at an all-you-can-eat BBQ

I have been in a property for a little

I have been in a property for a little over 35 days They are trying to take a month s worth of payments for the 2nd time this month and their contact phone number is unrecognised I need to speak to someone as I am confused as to what I am actually paying for As the email will read this is not a refusal to pay but until I know what I m actually paying for I will not pay another penny My first dealing with the company s customer services however was brilliant
